We can trap him when he gets here later this year :cwink::

Oh christ, do I feel old.

So, what did everyone think of the Oscars?

...From the Oscars thread. Another thing I noticed is that there were a lot of knocks at Superhero movies.

The Oscars were okay this year. Nothing super great, and although Neil had some good moments, a good amount also fell flat. I wasn't really shocked with the awards. Ellen and Mcfarlane were much better.

I hope next year we can get Ricky Gervais or Louis CK. I also agree with Kane, Key and Peele would be great. Speaking of Peele, his Twitter is gold.

So I found myself writing a Spider-Man fan fiction. I like to write, I have 2 original projects that I can never seem to advance, then I have some fan fiction.

The odd thing is though, I feel like no matter what I write or how, it just always come out kinda...cheesey or hammy, like I'm trying to hard. I just decided to write Spider-Man story for fun and because I've found myself in a strong Spidey mood. Which I haven't felt for a while. Though some of the ideas I have for this story I thought up about 2 years ago.

But anyway, that's my issue. I feel like I can't write without feeling like it's lame. Maybe it's just the inherent nature of fanfiction?

I liked the show itself and most of the winners. My favorite is still the Grand Budapest Hotel though, and I wish Fiennes had been nominated as well.

Haven`t seen Still Alice though, for which Julianne More got Best Actress. Is it good?

Well, there are only two ways to improve your writing:

(a) reading;

(b) practicing writing.

So, just keep writing and eventually it will start flowing better.

I do practice writing as much as I can. But I definitely don't read as much as I should, unfortunately. Gotta change that.

Posting and reading on these threads counts!

I didn't even watch the Oscars, The Walking Dead was more important to me. :funny:

I didn't really pay much attention to the Oscars, but it seems NPH has been getting panned. From what I saw,he did no worse than Ellen, last year.

I swear I thought GPH was going to win last night.
They had quite a sweeep of Oscars in the early evening.

i'm surprised JK even won an Oscar.

i wonder if they will bring him to the MCU as JJJ again

Most likely not MCU Spider-Man is a brand new story and continuity. They'll want to add their own new stuff/actors.

:lmao: Travolta and :hrt: Emma

Lol, thanks for the link.

if marvel pulled a Chris Evans on Andrew Garfield who do you want to see him play as? most people say Nova
No one for his sake, what a step down.

If I was Andrew Garfield and Marvel said, "Hey, we're not going to let you play Spider-Man anymore, but hey... how about Nova??" I would just tell them to **** off. :funny:

I was hoping for some kind of upset with her sneaking in the win for Best Supporting Actress, didn't happen though.

I was hoping for this well, but I can't say I was surprised with the result. She'll get one soon, though. Her roles certainly broadened in 2014 and hopefully they'll continue to in the near future.

I'll be on the lookout for her in Aloha and Irrational Man.

She's definitely got a bright future ahead, that's for sure. Can't wait to see what she does in the future.

She was pretty good in Birdman. I saw it the other day. I'm sure you guys were pissed at Ed Norton. :hehe:

Envious is more accurate :woot:

I have to say, on a side-note, she's kissed a lot of old folks as of late.
