Let`s hope so, Marvel should really up their game regarding villains.

Having James Spader do the voice is very exciting.

They definitely up'd it with Spader. There's a lot of potential of Ultron, he might be the MCU's strongest villain if he lives up to the hype.

Spider-Man needs the same treatment. I can't wait for the villain announcement, but let's not get ahead of ourselves... Let's get a Spider-Man first lololol.

The Webb vs Raimi sandbox fight was in high gear. Many butts hurt during that fiasco.

Until we hear anything on the contrary, I think the announcement was concerning the charity/contest he's doing with winners hanging out with him for the AOU premier. Sure, that announcement came a little sooner than 8 days, but that's what I think it was. I'm not getting my hopes up.

While I like Scarlet Witch, the woman has really bizarre relationships: she`s got a estranged terrorist father, two kids she wished into existence, and a romantic interest in either (a) a robot, (b) her brother, or (c) a psychotic deformed dictator.

I`m not even sure which of those connections I would like to see on screen, if any of them at all.

In fact, I think I was contemplating whether or not I should become a member at that point. There are quite a few members from then who haven't come back here.

Overall, I'm expecting a lot more parity in terms of opinions on the next Spidey outing. Hopefully we'll all be satisfied with a great product.

Well, I'm glad that 'kids throwing toys at each other' in the forum garbage didn't make you decide to not join. You're a good addition to these boards.

There always seems to be this continuing trend of praise for something new whilst bashing whatever was the previous incarnation whenever a reboot is made. Or just changes in general. But this new reboot and the deal between Marvel and Sony seems to have most people on the same page--it's something most fans have been asking or hoping would happen. Whereas when the ASM reboot was announced, there was a definite split in the fan base.

I too hope we'll be satisfied with the end result. I'm sure Marvel is aware of the situation and the amount of pressure on them to deliver has to be staggering.

It is, I just threw it in there to emphasize how crazy Wanda`s character history is, no matter what universe (and although I am sure we won`t be seeing that in the movies, the MCU does take a lot from the Ultimate Universe). Her thing with Doctor Doom wasn`t a full fledged romance either, as Wanda wasn`t on her right mind, but I included it nonetheless.

Now that brings back some memories. The amount of sheer butt hurt was a sight to see. You know, there are still quite a few posters who haven't come back after that. It sorta sucks tbh, and thats for both sides of the debate.

Yeah I really agree with this. Its one of the things that excites me so much. The whole Raimi/Webb films are so split with their respective fans, and I think this is finally a chance to sorta have both sides come on the same page again, granted Marvel gets Spidey right. I disagree. Bashing the old when something new comes along is kind of a standard. Especially around here.

But if there's one thing, the poorly made ASM series has definitely caused more people to praise and come to enjoy Raimi's films. Even SM3 is getting this ovation of adoration.

If Marvel's Spidey movie is actually good...well, I'd love to see a majority of Spidey fans happy again. Something I haven't witnessed since the SM2 days. It's all a Webhead can hope for.
