I had enjoyed Payday 2 before the microtransactions fiasco started. Looking forward to see how different this will be compared to Left 4 Dead.

OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four player co-op action FPS, where you and your friends fight the dead as well as the living. Set in The Walking Dead Universe, you and your group tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C.

Each character has their own Special Abilities, Skill Trees, Squad Roles, Play Styles and Story Arcs, but teamwork is paramount. The action is close-up and intense: take out enemies carefully with silent melee attack or go in guns blazing with your choice of each class firearms. You need to be able to improvise as nothing is certain and a horde of walkers is always right around the corner.

The latest trailer for Overkill’s The Walking Dead highlights Heather, the fourth and final playable characters in the upcoming cooperative first-person shooter.

Heather was a kindergarten teacher in her old life, who has had to learn the hard way that the difference between right and wrong is not so clear in a world where humanity struggles to survive against the undead.

Previous trailers introduced playable characters Aidan, Maya, and Grant.

Overkill's THE WALKING DEAD Is Now Available For PC And Gets A Surprisingly Short Launch Trailer
The Walking Dead, Overkill's brand new four-player co-op FPS, is finally now available for PC, as Starbreeze has released an action-packed CG launch trailer, though it's only 15 seconds long. Take a look! Read more

In OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead, players will have a chance to witness the fall of humanity from the perspective of Aidan, Maya, Grant and Heather, four ordinary people brought together by necessity and the willingness to do whatever it takes to survive in a zombified world. As you can guess, the shooter is strongly inspired by the rich universe of Robert Kirkman’s original graphic novels.

The zombie apocalypse just started, as The Walking Dead is finally released, at least for PC, as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of the co-op shooter have been pushed back to February. Overkill’s The Walking Dead is out now on Steam for £46.49/€49.99/$59.99, which may seem pretty bizarre, as Overkill's last title, Payday 2, cost $40 at launch and offered much more than TWD.

Overkill Software, in conjunction with Starbreeze Studios, Skybound Entertainment and 505 Games, has released a CG launch trailer for their version of The Walking Dead. Considering that it's only 15 seconds long, it's understandable why the developer has called it "launch teaser," as we may get the full version of the cinematic closer to the upcoming console released. Check it out down below:

Wednesday's launch trailer for the PC version of OVERKILL's The Walking Dead seemed a bit short as it was only 15 seconds long. Starbreeze Studios, Skybound Entertainment and 505 Games have decided to finally release the full cinematic trailer for the cooperative shooter, featuring Aidan, Maya, Grant and Heather's heroic battle against the greatest threat in a zombiefied world - humans.

As you can guess, the shooter is strongly inspired by the rich universe of Robert Kirkman’s original graphic novels. The apocalypse has started, at least on PC, as The Walking Dead is now available on Steam for £46.49/€49.99/$59.99, which may seem like a lot, considering that the game doesn't offer a lot of content. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One port of the FPS have been pushed back to February.

The Walking Dead game was announced back in 2015 as a new child of the Starbreeze cooperation with OVERKILL, that gave us two Payday games. The fans of Rainbow Six: Siege and Left 4 Dead should definitely keep an eye on The Walking Dead, and it will be interesting to see if the game survives direct confrontation with Saber Interactive's World War Z. Check out the game’s launch trailers below:
