Overrated Batman writers

Jeph Loeb has had some great stories (Superman for All Seasons, Dark Victory), but I hate how he makes the audience feel stupid.

In Hush, when Batman's line is cut, Jeph Loeb adds this obvious narration:

"Something...someone cut the Batline."

Like we don't know? The art is supposed to show that.

I agree that Jeph Loeb is overrated. Only Loeb can write a 13 issue murder mystery where Batman doesn't do any detective work at all. TLH was a giant "WTF" moment for me. Don't understand the praise at all but to each his own.

That alone gives it some appeal, and Dent's transformation into Two-Face is interesting enough.

Even that is a little bit strange. In one scene Harvey Dent is described with great obsession to bring the Roman down, in the next one, when this guy comes to him with vital information he just says "It's too late, let's go home".

And Loeb didn't even focus on Harvey's coin.
And Maroni's motivation is inconsistent.

TLH is truly no masterpiece.
