Hey, I'm watching this one tonight  Wish me luck  :hehe:

@ your house? if so then make it all dark :cwink:

I think this film would actually be scarier watching it by yourself, in the dark, in your house

I could be alone in my house watching superbad and still be scared , there is no way I would do that with this movie.

Oh, please! Only thing scary about this movie is how overly hyped it was and still is.

It was almost like watching someones home video for most of it, waiting for something to happen and when its over your like wtf?

too bad the hype killed the movie for you.
good thing i saw it right before the hype started

Haha, come on! Not scary at ALL? I didn't think it was super scary, but it certainly had its moments.

it was taped with a home video camera, over 7 days, in the directors newly remodeled house

the movie was definitely creepy IMO. If you block out all the hype surrounding the film and just watch it for what it was, I think it certainly was creepy.

I did manage to see the original ending online. I enjoyed the theatrical version much more. The original ending was much more finite than the one they showed in theaters. This one was open ended.

I think that demons actually exist, so that's part of what made it so creepy, for me. My grandmother says that she has experienced paranormal activity (not from demons, though), and she is of sound mind, and does NOT lie about things like that. I think it truly exists.

my brother in law said when he was a kid he remember seeing his table shake but not the chairs or the floor

Before seeing this movie, I had no idea they were going the demon route. I thought it was just a ghost haunting a house. Had no idea it was
a demon linked to the girl.

I don't believe in anything supernatural but this film still creeped me out. Mostly because it relies more on suspense and not showing what exactly the protagonists are up against. What you don't see is often scarier then what you do.

I've experienced some weird things in my life . Nothing as extreme but when you have a witness it can be very scary . I had girls say they could hear someone saying my name in the corner of the room at night and I would act like I didnt know what they were talking about . Alone in my room sometimes I heard it , it was if someone was right next to me but I never said anything about it until i moved out.

i remember not too long ago when i saw some strange shadows next to the window at night when i was on the computer.

I think the movie was good. For what I read, I watched the original version. Well, the movie opens here in a few days, so I might check it out there -- if I'm still around, since I'm heading the family home soon..

To me, the bigger the room, the bigger the scares. Back in my old room, which is like 8 times bigger than the one I live in now, everything looked scarier and freakier and bleaker :woot: and with more spiders too!

There was about some scary moment and that was when
She was dragged pit the bed.
Other then that, not really. Seemed a bit repetitive at parts.

i heard my name said by a female voice a few days ago, i tryed making an emv, or a recording off a voice, but i didnt get an answer, i think it may be my recently deacessed grandma, ive always had this link with the unknown. i can feel stuff and see stuff others cant, not so much anymore, but, im gonna try and get it honed again, my grandma was like that too, and also i am never buying a ****ing ouji baord, ill record but never invite evil into my home

Have you been hangin' with superhero lately..?

That part was definitely my favorite, it was a very simple and effective scare. When it starts off you think, "Oh, it's just ****ing with her." Then all of a sudden, bam, it turns it up a notch.

who?
no this is **** that runs in the family my dad was gonna go to Iraq as a contractor then my grandma told my mom not to let him go, and not long after that they started kidnapping and executing contractors, and i used to predict the outcomes of football games as a kid like little kid like 2-4, and i could pick out My grandmother on my dads side who i had never met and who had died before i was born, from a picture calling her "the lady with papa" i used to talk to my grandfather too, in my sleep.

Okay we get the point you didn't think the movie was scary... You've stated this a million times already and it's not going to make the movie any better for you if you didn't like it.

Paranormal Activity is scary, that's the thing of it. I mean, it's scary for me because I for one have had weird "paranormal" experiences like those in the film. Nothing extreme or awesome as the dragging but, doors slamming and footsteps.

If I experienced half of the **** in this film, my ass would've been out of dodge in a second. Though, the practical effects just didn't really do it for me. But, without a doubt, there were some genuinely creepy moments in this film.

Haha, that wouldn't have helped to move. ;)

For me, I enjoyed the pratical effects, I remind everyone I talk to in person the budget of the film.

I know for the most part it's clever fishing string but the way Katie made the scenes feel totally made me believe it.
