Paranormal Activity

Not really. Usually when a movie has a sequel the previous movie must of had some story to continue. In para-normal Activity there really is not story at all. Nothing is explained all we know is this girl is haunted by a demon and she ends up getting possseed by it and kills her boyfriend The End. If they did a sequel whats to tell? Just a new couple being haunted by the demon or something?

They left it totally open for a sequel. Katie was missing at the end of the movie and her "whereabouts were still unknown." There's your sequel right there.

I'm interested in a sequel or maybe even a prequel. They could even talk about that one girl who was possessed in the video they saw online.

Let the "nightmares" begin again.

'Paranormal Activity 2 Teaser to 'Eclipse' Theaters Next Week?!

Sources are telling Bloody Disgusting that the teaser trailer for Paranormal Activity 2 will debut next Wednesday in front of Summit Entertainment's The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which would also mean an online debut next week as well (typically). This is unconfirmed. In addition, contrary to reports online, we're also hearing Paranormal Activity won't have a presence at the San Diego Comic Con next month. Paramount refused to comment. Kip Williams (Tod Williams) directs the sequel to Paramount's smash hit that's penned by Michael R. Perry. Early (unconfirmed) rumors suggest PA stars Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat will return. It will go toe-to-toe with Saw 3D on October 22. It will be the battle to end all. There can only be one?

Shooting just began and already a teaser will be out? Just shows you how much they are rushing into it and selling it to a certain crowd.

Paranormal Activity 2: Book Of Shadows will be awful.

Well if they're shooting it in the same style as the first one, it really wouldn't be that hard to crank out a teaser in one month even with a couple of effect shots thrown in.

No, but they just started shooting like last week or so. And next week is when the "teaser" is suppose to come out.

Whats it gonna be some guy just standing there, looking at you for 60 secs?

Will the tagline for this be 'The Scariest sequel ever made":hehe:

well if the first one was shot within a week, then it won't be so hard to shoot the sequel and turn in a teaser next week...

So it just tells you its gonna be just as S wordy. As the first one.

Looking back at the start of this thread, I can't believe i was su pumped for this. I don't hate many movies, but this is really one of them.

You just hate that it was overhyped. If this movie came and went, you'd probably have no hard feelings toward it.

No, i just get mad when people say its so scary and they can't sleep or need a light on.

I've had bowel movements that were scarier then this movie.

I'll be sure to post my frightastic film tomorrow, after I film it tomorrow.:hehe:

Oh, JAL. You really really really really shouldn't talk about how a film is qualified when some of your tastes are sooo telling.

I fail to see whats wrong with the movie. it was well made for a practicly fan made film shot in a week with in experienced actors & a limited budget. the actors themselves were great. they acted like real people, faults & everything, the way they talked, the whole shebang. I found it creepy, atmospheric & entertaining. It wasn't a masterpiece but I wasn't expecting one. I look forward to the sequel & I own the original on Blu Rizzle.

Do you live by yourself? Or with mom and dad? Serious question.

I agree this movie wasn't outright scary but it was still creepy IMO. I personally liked it more than the redundant slasher movies we get all the time. You may find those type of movies scarier, but I don't.

Creepy is the perfect word. After I saw it, I wasn't all that scared or bothered by it. But as I lay in bed that night, with the lights off, I started to dwell on it and every little sound I heard or shadow I saw made me jump. It did its job perfectly.

That said, how the hell are they bringing back the original cast for the sequel?

Welp trailer is up for the sequel, looks like Katie might be haunting people now.

So baby is in the mirror, while not being in the bed at the same time. I'm calling it now, demon baby.

Only thing that caught my attention was the last 30 seconds of the last movie and the guy stomping around like its the middle of the night.

Oh and of course the dog seeing the "dead" Katie

No doubt people will get this one up again, like the first one. But the people who were tricked the first time, won't be for a second time.
