Comedy Parks and Recreation - Part 2

Yeah, this whole season was solid.

I dunno. I like to believe she became President. Secret Service is synonymous with POTUS. Big enough hint without saying it.

The Vice President also gets Secret Service protection, I believe. Again, we don't know whether it is Leslie or Ben who actually hold the office that requires protection; that part at least is deliberately ambiguous.

Remember that "blah blah blah, Mr. President" or "blah blah blah, Madame President" is one of the most cliched lines when writing for TV or film about public authority figures; the fact that the writers sidestepped such an easy piece of dialogue means they really wanted to leave it all up in the air. After all, every good series finale always leaves at least one unanswered question so us fans can keep talking about it years later.

NBC’s Parks and Recreation wrapped its run on Tuesday night with 4.2 million total viewers and a 1.6 demo rating, surging 50 and 33 percent week-to-week as well as up sharply from its previous finale (2.7 mil/1.0).

In total audience, Parks commanded its largest crowd since January 2012. TVLine readers gave the finale an average grade of a very high “A.”

It was so beautiful and perfect!

I wish we could've gotten a crazy Tammy flashfoward

It would go all the way to the year 2782 and somehow involve finding a statue of Li'l Sebastian sitting on a gold throne where the Lincoln memorial is supposed to be.

Only 'fault' of this season is... I wish we'd had seen Leslie's mom and Diane...

The whole season was fantastic
finale was amazing

Wish there'd been maybe a little more Ann Perkins and Chris Traeger this season
but all in all, just perfect

and good catch on that champagne bottle!

Oh, and did anyone see April and Garry making out on Late Night with Seth Myers??
extremely disturbing, I advise against eating while watching it

What if in the Future it's President Leslie Knope and Vice President Ben Wyatt

Joan Callamezzo spinoff. I NEED it.

I'm glad Shauna finds love in the form of [blackout]Bobby Newport[/blackout]. :atp:

I'm sort of glad the show got rid of the documentary format for it's last season.

Michael Schur knows from being involved with the Office (both as producer and as Mose) that a returning former cast member will not overshadow the actual story of the film. He saw that The Office did bring back Michael Scott for the final episode, but he didn't overshadow the rest of the episode as his story was finished (he found a woman that loves him and he adores his children). It was a great way to bring back Chris and Anne.

It's interesting to see all these mockumentary shows drop the documentary aspect later in the series. The Office is the only one that stuck to it for its entire run.

Man, they REALLY went for it there. Like, they just sucked each others' faces off for a minute.

Side note: I choose to believe this is the last bit of "Let's show things going well for Garry" this last season went on.
