ROH fans love Steen though. I don't care either way because there's no top ROH guy I care about. The ROH hardcores have a ***** for Steen so he's champ.

F*** that guy, I saw one of his first matches and he was a joke. he tried really hard to be a fat Kurt Angle. I don't know what he does now but he's still a fat slob and he doesn't have the look of a ROH Champ. Besides 3 or 4 people on the roster and whoever they bring in from the outside, why would anyone pay the $30+ for an ROH show now a days?

I'm on their site right now, WTF is Jimmy Jacobs going by Zombie Princess?

Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, Michael Elgin, Dem Boys The Briscoe Brothers and Eddie Edwards?

And only $30? I wish. Although, I don't have a ticket for June 24th yet, so I might be able to get it that cheap.

If the Briscoes and WGTT sign with WWE or TNA, then I'm done with ROH.

I only go to the live events myself. I don't watch the episodes online and as far as I know they're not available in my area.

wait it went up? damn I used to get 3rd row for $30 and $40 for first row.

but that was when we had Danielson, Nigel before TNA raped him, Ares, Briscoe Brothers in their prime, Hero, MCMG, Colt, Punk, Somoa Joe..you see where i'm going with this? I went to ROH because these indie guys had names even a guy like me knew, and I was a WWE guy.

And this is coming from a guy who could probably get in free if I ask Truth Martini for some tickets.

You're in Detroit. Front row in NYC has been minimum $75 for the last 4 years at least, now it's even higher. I was happy to pay $50 for third row (and they were awesome seats, but then again so was 9th row). I used to pay that for front row balcony, but they went up and the balcony at the Hammerstein sucks compared to the Grand Ballroom.

hey, did their DVD sets get any better in quality? i really want that summer of Punk DVD set.

Yeah, it must be cool to go to a live show. I like Cole and Elgin but it annoys me that Cole is not a heel because that's his strength from a character standpoint.

Yeah, you also said the YES gimmick wouldn't work for him.

I don't recall saying the "YES!" gimmick wouldn't work, I think I said it wasn't working (for me - on a main event level) until he was actually given a character.

And his character took off after Wrestlemania, just like I thought it would.

Good for all sides then. Yayyyyyy Nell.

Haven't bought a dvd in 2 years I think. Not a lot of disposable income, so that money usually goes to much needed post show meals.

Yup. Daniel Bryan has made SmackDown interesting, and even more impressive, the entire angle has gotten AJ over for me as well to the point where I will actually watch a Divas match with her because I know there will be some decent storyline.

And what Bryan did to AJ on SmackDown this week was just dirty. :word:

Also, anyone know if there's a legitimate YouTube of Brodus Clay from Wrestlemania? Only stuff I was able to find was camera phone uploads.

Yes that is Leaping Lanny better known as The Genius. Now you have been eductaed. And, I remember that count out win over Hogan like it was yesterday. Someone needs to do to the spinner what Perfect did to Hogan's belt there.

Now that I think about it, I'm kind of srprised it was never mentioned once during their WWF run that they were brothers. Then again, one was a jobber, the other a main even star.

I only ever knew the guy as The Genius, can't remember him ever being referred to as Lanny Poffo (I was but a youngling at the time).

The first I heard of the name Lanny Poffo was when Macho Man died and Lanny coming out saying the only way he'd ok Randy being put in the WWE HOF is if the whole family went in.

I thought it was a bit arrogant at the time, I mean who was Lanny Poffo to WWE? But now that I know he's The Genius, it makes a lot more sense (not that he ever achieved greatness or anything, but it was a good gimmick nonetheless that he portrayed well).

For some reason, I recall once or twice seeing him referred to as "The Genius" Lanny Poffo early on during either an episode of Superstars or an MSG televised house show. I just seem to remember seeing a bumper like that early on.

Best Buy is far from where I live and I checked two Wal-Marts close to me and they only have WM 28 on DVD so I got fed up and ordered the Blu-Ray version off Amazon for $18. Not bad.

IIRC it was Savage's wish that the Poffos being inducted as a whole so I think that's why Macho Man is not in yet.

I think shortly after his death, Mean Gene said in an interview that Savage was offered the HOF when he was alive, but he declined it.

A Falls Count Anywhere DVD?

I imagine the finishers one will be pretty short. :funny:

- We noted before that beginning July 2nd, many of WWE's RAW Supershow tapings will begin 90 minutes before the live RAW broadcast airs on TV. Currently, tapings begin 30 or 45 minutes before RAW hits the air. Speculation now is that WWE may be filming a countdown show for RAW with that extra time. Officials have been wanting something like a RAW pre-show for a while now.

WWE is also looking at doing a Lucha Libre show with high-flying Spanish wrestlers and Spanish announcers. With the Cruiserweights show also set for this November, the bottom line is that WWE is looking to do a lot more TV shows this year as they prepare for the Network launch.

With NXT and FCW being taped at Full Sail University soon, word is that WWE will still be taping another show on Tuesday nights before the Superstars and SmackDown tapings.

Regarding the new tapings at Full Sail University, speculation is that Jim Ross and William Regal may end up announcing that show. The new tapings are being described as Triple H's own project and something that Vince McMahon doesn't have his "fingerprints" on, yet.

If done right it could be alot of fun.

The WWE Network is hoping to be: NFL Network
The WWE Network will probably be: OWN
