That alone will make watching the show worthwhile let alone getting to see some future stars in the making.

Plus Regal and soon JR can get people invested in these guys. Too bad most people don't watch NXT.

- WWE's European DVD distributor Silvervision announced that because of production problems, they are issuing refunds to fans who pre-ordered the following DVD and Blu-ray titles: Best of WCW Clash of the Champions, ECW Unreleased Volume 1 and WrestleMania 28.

I hope they get this fixed as I want that Clash Blu Ray.

I completely forgot to answer this question.

The first Clash of the Champions match is up there, for obvious reasons, but it would probably be one that most would never pick and that was Sting's match with Flair on the next Monday Nitro after Spring Stampede 1999. It was Sting's first match on television after many months and it was Sting's first match with Flair after many many years. It was a complete nostalgic moment when those two locked up. Sting yelling at Flair "for old times sake" and those two hitting all of their classic spots was terrific. You could see the fun those two were having after so many years and both guys had the crowd eating out of the palm of their hands. You could hear the fan in Tony Schiavone come out during the match as it was obvious he was having a blast calling it. Just great stuff! I still have this match recorded on a VHS tape.

Another fun couple of moments during that night were Sting's promo to open the show and Flair, Arn, and "Little Naitch" Charles cutting promo with both Macho Man and Sting coming out. Fantastic promos that were filled with energy and fun.

I forgot Sting missing time in 99, was he taken out by Bret at the end of 98? I remember the match you're talking about, was that the show with Flair escaping the mental hospital that had Hall in it, and somewhere along the line Nash was involved and Little Naitch was feuding with Gorgeous George and Piper was president?

I'm not sure I know which is my favourite to be honest but I always remember the match from the GAB 90 the most viivdly, I was expecting a scoprion deathlock finish but it ended with a roll up.

Feel sorry for the guy, Really wish he would take a break and take care of his personal stuff.

Agreed. I think he might be going to the dark side by becoming a backstage politician because it seems like he doesn't want to step aside to CM Punk shine. I suppose I can understand, but its incredibly frustrating.

Rude was the Burt Reynold's of heels

Funny enough, I remember reading somewhere he got inspiration from Tom Selleck when he was doing Magnum P.I.

What is your favourite Sting vs Flair match?

So many matches, but if I had to pick one, I'd also have to go with The Great American Bash 1990. Not only was the match great, but the story was perfect with Sting finally getting his revenge on Flair by beating him to become world champion!

His match with Bret at Halloween Havoc 98 was his last match before his return in April of 99. I believe Sting took time off to deal with some knee and elbow injuries.

No, the show was before the mental hospital angle. Flair was the President of WCW and still be treated as a serious heel character at this point. It was the Nitro (4/12/1999) after DDP won his first world title. This show was the start of the Little Naitch vs. Gorgeous feud. Other little known fact, it was also the show where Sting coined his catchphrase "It's Showtime." Great promo by Sting. I'll have to see if it's on youtube somewhere.

The GAB match is good one too, especially for the significance of Sting winning his first world title. It'll never happen, but I would love to hear Jim Ross call one last Sting match.

I need to see this match.

By most accounts Kelly Kelly.

Recently? I know she dated Test years ago.

Well, Chris Masters said Mendez was playing with PS's freebird.

And I saw a photo of Alicia Fox sitting on Laurinaitis' lap at some club or lounge not too long ago.

I do believe he also went to film the movie "Shutterspeed" as well.

I need to see this match.

Its an extra on the Great American Bash 2005 DVD if you ever gets your hands on it, but of course they snipped the entrances.

For my boy Hunter and anyone else...

Here's the Sting/Flair match I was talking about. Probably my favorite match between the two.

Here's the promo Sting cut earlier in the night to open Nitro. First promo back and first use of "It's Showtime" catchphrase. Pure Stinger energy!

Here's the promo later in the night with Flair, Randy Savage, and Sting. It sets up the Sting/Flair match later in the show and establishes the Gorgeous George/Little Naitch feud.

.

Nope, Shutterspeed came out in 2000. He filmed that movie well after his return. His absence in late 1998 and early 1999 was due to injuries.

It's probably due to the fact I'm a Sting mark, but Shutterspeed I enjoyed in that it's so bad it's good kind of way. I still remember the night it debuted on TNT watching it with my dad and him talking about how bad the movie was and how loud Sting's boots were when he walked lol :yay:

You know, TNA are bunch of idiots. Given Morgan's look and the fact that he's a well spoken guy, he would be the perfect guy to do media appearances. He's one of the most marketable younger guys they have.

If I were Morgan I would consider going back to the E and if I were WWE I would seriously consider hiring him. He improved in TNA but it seems like he's hit a wall there. A guy of his size, athleticism, and speaking skills could do well in WWE today. Not many guys have all three.

Here's a classic gem from early 2005.

CM Punk said:
This past 4th of July was spent at Lake of the Ozarks with myself, Ace Steel, and of course the legendary Harley Race. We spent all day on the Lake in his boat and a lot of the day was like that commercial for 'Girls Gone Wild'. Random strangers showing me their boobies (there ya go shelley!), and me just throwing water ballons at them. Late that night, back at Harleys house, we all ate some great BBQ and Harley had about a million billion martinis I think it was. He had these little pickled green beans he'd put in them....anyway....he drank a LOT. Which is no surprise, he's Harley Fu**ing Race. And yes, I just capitilized the 'F' in fu**ing. Ace is pretty tanked too, to set the scene...i'm just stuffed with BBQ, when this hilarious conversation ensues. Harley gets to telling stories, which on another side note is some of the best times i've ever had in my life. Just having the privilege to sit and listen to Harely talk about his career on numerous occasions has been really rewarding. He was talking about his run in the WWF, the reason he was brought in, and more importantly who he was working at the time. The conversation went exactly like this:

Harley: "...and he had me working Hogan, JYD, and one of my last programs was with....sh**. What's his name? The guy. You know. Big guy....c'mon, you know!
That f****t Indian."

Now...I bust out laughing and Ace and I just look at each other while Harely is scrunching up his face trying to remember who he is talking about. I start throwing out names, but none of them really make any sense. I mean....Wahoo never worked in the WWF, and certainly if he did, Harely wouldn't call him "that f****t Indian". Tatanka, who Ace proudly proclaimed was who Harely must've been talking about. Certainly you all know Tatanka, while having wrestled in the WWF, it was years after Harely had already retired. So i'm sitting there, and Harely is literally scratching his head and Ace is clueless...and I really don't have any clue either. So I think..."f****t indian"...and I blurt out:

Punk: "The Ultimate Warrior?"

Harley: "YES! That fu**ing GOOF!"

I laughed for a week.

Oh okay, I remember Sting took time off to battle his personal demons, but I couldn't remember when the movie was made. It kinda bugs me since I've been a Sting fan since the surfer days, but I never had the chance to watch his films "The Real Reason Why Men Commit Crimes" and "Shutterspeed". I'm sure they weren't great, but I still wish I could've checked them out.
