True, but the MMA fans who hate pro wrestling will hate on this.

The BloodyElbow.com community has been pretty fair on this news bit. There are quite a few wrestling fans on their site, but there are those who hate wrestling who comment there and they seem ok with it.

I believe given Mo's unique situation and his outspoken love for wrestling, they are cool with it. The biggest complaints/concerns I've seen are fans who think he could get injured in TNA and mess up any future fights.

Ant Man posted his picks, but who are people you can see being the next top babyface?

I'm going to FCW first

Leakee-Young and has a lot of work to do, but has a good pedigree and look that Vince loves, and IMO he just has a certain star quality.

Seth Rollins- I see him like a more talented and charismatic Kofi, with the right storyline coming in to TV I could see him being huge.

Ziggler-Ask HR I've been saying for a LONG time how much he reminds me of a young HBK

Sheamus-Seems like he's already been hand picked to be the next top guy, he's already more or less usurped Ortons spot.

Zack Ryder-I think he's an ideal upper midcard act but with some tweaks who knows, he's got the fanbase, charisma, talent and a good look.

Sheamus is 34. No way Vince pushes him as the new face when he's basically Cena's age.

Watching Impact right now, and Hogan is such a cliche and is unbelievable as an authority. He doesn't know how to sell anything as serious and is stuck in the Hogan character and mannerisms that are dated and out of place.

What Brooke just did with her behind made up for that for me. Good lord. Did you see that? I mean Jesus that should be in the handbook of great superpowers.

the rumour was she tried but was shot down, right on to the lap of the animal

but give it time i'm sure the dirt sheets will have storys of him sticking it to every diva in the locker room

I always thought Big Dave was interested but she turned him down. Thats why he was pissed at her. Same thing with Shelly Martinez. Thats the only reason he could hate them both that much (that or them having problems with Melina in the past). Mickie actually hooked up with The Animal?

Dean Ambrose is 26, and has more charisma than pretty much all the guys I or Lobo listed, but Vince would never push him as the #1 guy

I think Cody Rhodes is going to be the next face after Cena and Cena is not even that old he still has a while left in the WWE.

Man would it kill Abyss to lose some damn weight, especially considering he hasn't wrestled for months and has time to heal and get in shape

Yeah he does, but he's a heel through and through IMO. He reminds me a LOT of an early Piper.

I like Cody, but I think Ziggler would be easier to transition to the top face role right now, if they had to. Zigs has the all-over swagger that would transition well into a face role, and he has an automatic and easy face turn mechanism (Vicky).

Cody's character is still kind of all over the place; first he was a vain poser, then a violent psychopath, now he's a trash-talking cheater; he'd make an ideal opponent for a face Ziggler, but he's not ready to be the fan favorite yet.

Yeah, but I think he's a heel that will eventually get cheered due to how entertaining he is. He could be that guy people like because he does crazy **** and you tune in to see wreak havoc.

Cody is hard for me to buy as a face or tweener. I just don't see it at this point.

I like Cody, but his height might work against him becoming a top face. Vince does have his types. The only way he'd make exceptions is if the person is really good.

Tampa resident and WWE superstar John Cena has filed for divorce from his high school sweetheart and wife of only 3 years, Liz Huberdeau, saying the marriage is “irretrevably broken.” The soon-to-be-ex-Mrs.Cena has armed herself with powerful Miami attorneyRaymond Rafool, best known for going head to head with Hulk Hogan in his nasty divorce battle against ex-wife Linda. In that case, Rafool allegedly took Hogan for 70% of his assets. Huberdeau hopes for something similar, but it’s not going to be easy. Cena, worth over $18 million, has a 2009 prenup that is said to include the ability to take back all gifts and presents.

That stipulation has forced the soon-to-be-ex to hire Rafool, who told us “Although it is indeed unfortunate that John Cena decided to divorce his high school sweetheart Liz Cena; particularly, after they have come so far in their lives and in his career together, Liz will and really has no choice but to pursue all of her rights and entitlements. Although Mr. Cena pushes a prenuptial agreement and that the parties have only been married for approximately 3 years, Liz Cena has always supported John Cena, even when no one else did, and stood behind him and pushed him forward to achieve their goals for the last 14 years. Sadly, divorce is not the way Liz thought her perfect love story would end.”

Another insider warns that this isn’t going to be pretty, saying “This is going to dwarf the Hogan divorce in nastiness.” Yikes

This crap makes me so mad. How many broken bones does she have from the business? :whatever:

If he went to WWE, they would have ripped him a new one.

It says she is Cena's childhood sweetheart or whatever but Cena was telling stories of banging strippers and fat chicks on Howard Stern a few years back, so they mustn't have been together the entire time.

I don't know why famous guys get married until the led in the pencil is lessening, I mean they know it's on tap for them so why cause yourself and a girl you will cheat on so much pain and stress.

Is Steiner drunk when he tweets or just illiterate?

As for the next top face, Punk is in a good spot to step right in if given the storylines. If they want to go younger I'd say Ziggler was the best shot coming through, Ambrose and Cody will be the top heels of the generation IMO.

Ziggler needs new ring gear. I wish he had something more flashy to match his gimmick and personality.

Lord knows what Cena has possibly done on the road. Although the wrestlers of today do not live the crazy and wild road lives of the guys in the 80's and 90's, I bet there are still some nutty stories.

I'm not sure why Steiner types the way he does, maybe due to the 180 character limit. It's entertaining nonetheless and apparently he has the boys in TNA popping huge for him right now.

Watched one of my favorite Sting vs Rude matches tonight from Clash of the Champions 1992. I still remember watching this match as a kid. It's odd seeing Rude without his mustache.

I think the marriage thing is part of the image of these guys needing to be role models publicly etc. If Cena was single and you found out how much of a man-**** he is, you know parents and kids might not like that.

Tiger Woods just shouldn't have gotten married and had kids and it would've been fine.

I think they may be avoiding some of the harder drugs and crazy heavy drink binges of the old days, but the lure of hot and easy women will have remained the same.

Given how clueless Hogan clearly is I am not surprised, I just wish these were things being said more articulately by someone stable like Sting.

Funnily enough I watched this match just last week, I think it is the best match they had and that Rude is actually Sting's best opponent after Vader.

Everyone in the thread should really check this match out.

The latest from TMZ:

http://www.tmz.com/2012/05/11/john-cena-divorce-kiss/

"WWE superstar John Cena planted a big, fat kiss on his wife on live TV -- just 2 months before he filed for divorce ... but sources tell TMZ ... behind the scenes, he was a wreck over his marriage for months.

Sources connected to the wrestler tell us ... Cena was not shy about discussing his problems at home while hanging out backstage before WWE events.

We're told Cena complained that his relationship with Liz Huberdeau began to deteriorate shortly after they got married in 2009 ... with the arguing escalating in the past few months ... including spats over the remodeling of their Florida home.

One source tells us John has been "miserable" for the past few months ... despite the ringside PDA with his wife at a WWE event on March 5.

We reached out to Cena for comment -- so far, no response."

The AJ/Dixie affair insinuation on Impact has me scratching my head. If he is in a relationship with Dixie then shouldn't AJ have a more prominent role in TNA right now? He must be a bad lover lol.
