Pearl Jam or Nirvana?

If you think that technique is what makes a guitar player 'great' then I suggest you give up playing and build a robot to do it for you.

I just said, in several ways.....Crappy "guitarIST"/Genius MUSICIAN.
My whole THING is that technique isn't required to be a great musician.
"Musician" encompassing all that is required to make MUSIC.

"Guitarist" is the more specific craft of fretting notes on a guitar...the "technique" of playing guitar...as opposed to playing a trombone, or a cello, or a banjo, or a comb with toilet paper stretched over it.

Harrison has bad technique but wrote GREAT stuff.
This is all stupid semantics though.

Yeah, I just have a different definition of a 'great guitarist', in that it's not how sound your technique is or how many notes you can play in second, but rather how what you play integrates with the music surrounding it.

Of course, the real issue here though, is that Pearl Jam are wank.

This has nothing to do with their music, but whenever Sublime is mentioned, I hate them so much that I want to tell the world:

We opened for them once in Utah.
Before the show, soundcheck was done, everybody was just hanging out drinking, talking waiting...

The owner told them they couldn't have their dog inside and they threw a hissy fit and said if they couldn't have their dog inside they wouldn't play.

So the owner said, "Jeesh, oKAY! "
And, wouldn't you know it, their dog bit this cute girl on the face, right on her lip.
Her friends took her to the emergency room.
Meanwhile, the owner is yelling at them, "Dudes! Your ****ing dog just disfigured that girl! "

And the singer dude goes, "So? Give 'er a pitcher o' beer or somethin' *shrug*"

ASS****.

HAHAHA LOU Dog Stikes again! Yeah thats Bradley for you, bit of a drunk and died of heroin but dam he loved his dog...

Well, singer-dude Bradley Nowell OD'd on smack the eve of the release of their debut album and left said dog an orphan, so.....karma is a b1tch.

Sure that was pretty bad, but then again Jimi Hendrix once smashed his GF in the face with a phone because of his drunknessand his suspicion that she was talking to another man on it (think it turned out to be her mom), does that make him any less of a legend? No

Yup. Pearl Jam definitely aren't that bad though. For my money, they were the two best bands to come out in the 1990s' along with Radiohead.
