Probably not out like he dislikes but a long break.

Heavy involvement in all three Thor movies and Avengers 1. He deserves a long break from the rule. The character perhaps went to Valhalla or wherever Frost Giants go for such a turn around. He developed a genuine brotherhood with Thor.

Anyways, I loved Loki, and Tom Hiddleston was a gem during all of the promotional tours, but he has had his time, and I think it's OK to hang up the cloak.

Same. He was legitimately good in Thor and he made for an entertaining (if a bit weak) antagonist in The Avengers, but after that he became too popular for his own good, so Marvel decided to turn him into Thor's roguish sidekick and that's just not who Loki is supposed to be.

I have a strong feeling he will be back for the next Avengers as I think he had something planned based on what happened in his last scene.

That being said, if he is not dead, Avengers 4 will be the perfect time to end the character.

I'm okay with a cameo in future Thor movies if there are more

I want a Loki around. Doesn't have to be this Loki though (nothing against Hiddleston, but this is Loki and he has lots of possible forms) ... but that's if there's more Thor coming.
