Pink Panther 2

The ORIGINAL had Peter Sellers in it. The crappy remake had Beyonce. :whatever:

Wow... Your stretching... If this ridiculous trolling persists, I'll be forced to PM the mods about it... So stop... Anyone in there right mind, knows I was refering to the remake, and that I know it's a remake... So SS, your already on a tight rope with the mods... Don't go and fall off :)

I love the originals with Peter Sellers. Although it's a needless sequel of a remake, I say bring it on. I found Steve Martin's take to be just as funny. Jean Reno is back and they cast Alfred Molina, hell yeah! Looking at a lot of these posts I guess people just don't like Steve Martin. By the way, what kind of comedies do you people like anyways. No, "good ones" isn't a real answer. It seems like most people on this entire website don't have a funny bone in their whole damn body. If it's not comic films or some kind of action it's looked down upon.

I'm pretty sure I speak for a lot when I say Steve Martin WAS great, but now is just pathetic. and it's not really that he got worse, it's just that he's picking his movies terribly.

who would you have cast in a remake of Pink Panther instead of Steve Martin?

right now im thinking Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, or Sacha Baron Cohen

I don't think they should do any remakes of good movies. But at least they didn't cast someone like Chris Rock as Clouseau, like they've been doing of late.

I am surprised at this new PP movie. I don't think the first made too much, and it was notably raked across the coals by the critics. I watched a bit of it and couldn't finish it, it was so bad. And the trailer, which usually features the funniest parts, didn't even make me smile, much less laugh.

Go grab some tissue. What I said wasn't that bad. Just a minor correction. Besides, you really shouldn't know anything about my status with the mods. That's theirs and my business. And I am hardly on a "tight rope", so don't get your hopes up.

And you've done the same thing. So don't as usual act so high and mighty and better than everyone.

That was the very definition of meh. :-/

Something seemed a little off. Maybe the timing? I don't know. I liked the first film.. a little.

I grew up watching the show as a kid, and I effin adore Steve Martin, but I didn't see the first one 'cause I just didn't have any interest, and that theme song makes me cringe. Now I just recently saw Shopgirl, and now I'm jonesin for a Steve Martin fix, not sure this will suffice, but god Shopgirl was a lot better than I thought it would be.

I thought the first was pretty funny, hopefully this one will be too.

*Just saw the trailer, and the sequel looks pretty bad. Hopefully the acting will keep it afloat.

Coming from someone who liked the first one, that trailer was pretty bad.

It's got a great supporting cast.........why ? Looks like It's aiming for that Razzie.

I bought the first remake for five bucks at Blockbuster didn't think it was funny. I'm amazed that they made a sequel to it. This remains one of the remakes that makes me go right back to the original without issue.
