Really liked the trailer. Actually laughed quite a bit throughout that trailer.

Everyone seems in top form, Captain Sparrow looks like more of a drunk but thats fine as thats really what makes the character funny mixed along with his wit.

Looks like Barbossa and Sparrow are on opposite sides again but knowing the two they'll probably have to team up and then betray each other at some point.

Looking forward to this.

One of the brunette mermaids was damn fine just thought I'd point that out.

Yeah, they toned it down a lot from the kitchen sink aspect of the last one. Still got some of the supernatural in there, which I am glad they didn't do away with entirely, like the mermaids and undead pirates.

I liked that trailer. While I'm still cautious, it looks like a fun adventure film like the first. From how the footage is cut together, Jack looks to be like his original self again. That classic sly smirk of his is back.

Is it naive that I'm hoping for a 5th and 6th standalone film? Because I'd like to watch more POTC films and not just the first and potentially this one.

The second and third had the most CGI while the first one had a modest amount. This movie seems to have a lot of more on location shots with almost no CGI.

The most memorable CGI part in this entire trailer was the fire coming from the ship which could have been a mixture between practical pyrotechnics and CGI.

I'd defintely say this film is more along the lines of Black Pearl than the 2nd and 3rd.

the reason they dont have a lot of CGI inside is that Bruckheimer is smart to safe money. its not that he wants to make it like the first. he wants to safe money.
