Maybe they send up Will/Elizabeth in that he saves mermaid girl and then at the end she drags him to his death during the "finale kiss" and Jack makes a pun?

Now that would make this movie great. I kind of will miss Elizabeth. But there is no love loss for the Will character and if this one gets "mermaided" that will be a movie highlight.

I do hope he's not a rip off of Will though. Barbossa is more straight than Jack but Barbossa does have his eccentricities too. I do like the new spin on him.

So it looks as though there may be a mermaid/human love plot underneath it all. I can dig that. Her being a mermaid makes her instantly more interesting than Miss Swan.

I doubt Bruckheimer and company had any problem with the Will character so I doubt they will do that.

I also hope he's different from Will but right now he looks pretty darn similar. The only upside is that he's a way more unknown actor then Orlando Bloom so he'll probably have a smaller role then Will.

Loved this trailer, as someone who didnt mind the sequels its nice for me to see that it looks like they have gone more for the tone of the first movie, which was superb, Depp looks awesome again as Jack.

I honestly thought they should have left Will and Elizabeth alone after the first movie. Their story was done there. They just felt forced in the next two movies.

And to be honest, I don't mind Bloom, but Will as a character just wasn't all that interesting. He was the typical straight hero. He played the part well, but I wasn't dying to see him again.

I miss the Will Turner of the first two movies. The one who had a personality, was dashing, and became a pirate in his own right. The one they ruined in movie three and that I've missed for around five years now.

Man...this girl is really good looking. If she's got a fairly big part in this, and if she pulls it off well, I can see her showing up more in Hollywood. She has a really nice, "classic" look to her - doesn't really look like the typical young starlet these days. Very pretty.

I agree with the "forced" sentiment. I just think that by not including him your kinda skimping out on cool oppurtunities, what with him being the Captain of the Flying Dutchman now.

It's exactly the same girl, or her sister. Same facial structure, rings around the eyes, nose, and everything. You can't tell in the first shot due to the distortion of the water and the angle.

I liked Will in the first film but his story was done there. They should have left him alone after that. The sequels should have all been stand alone and introduced Jack to new characters instead of shoehorning Will and Elizabeth back in.

Granted, I could be wrong, but the actress everyone is talking about is the one featured in the second link. The other girl is seen twice throughout the trailer (with one of those times being the angry distortion you posted), and he looks very much like the actress in the first link.

Not even close dude. For starters they don't even have the same hairline let alone brow, also take a look at their eyebrows. The brunette has thicker and then a very pretty arch while the other girls is far more thinner and aren't even arched but just is like an inclined line.

Definitely not the same girl. More Anglo features on the one you posted while the other one has a more Mediterranean look to her like Spanish or Italian.
