Looking forward to this! Loved the first, thought then 2nd one was okay and didn't dig part 3. I also felt that Dead Man's Chest could have been stand alone. There are so many great things about 2 but the ending (or lack thereof) kills it. It causes you to rely on the resolution from "At World's End", which (IMO) doesn't pay off.

I have high hopes for part 4 though. It does look good. And kudos for them bringing back Keith Richards in what I hope is a natural feeling way. I'd love to say that the series had more than one great installment!

I hope that if they make 5 and 6 that they are seperate stories, not connected to eachother or 4. Also that if they film it back to back they have the scripts for both movies entirely done before they start filming.

By the way, I'm the same way ALP. If Depp or Daniel Day-Lewis is in a film. I'm there. Watched every Depp film on cinema since 06'. POTC 2 (2 times), POTC 3 (1 time), Sweeney Todd (2 times), Public Enemies (2 times), Alice in Wonderland (2 times). Next year I will watch both Rango and POTC 4, for sure.

Yes, THE TOURIST IS THAT BAD.

Not even okay unless you're fooling yourself. And I'm a guy with good taste in film too, and there's almost no redeming quality to the film besides Depp and Jolie, who for some odd reason felt like they were in two separate movies. DESPITE BEING IN THE SAME SCENES. IT'S WEIRD. There's no chemistry surprisingly.

I think it's a miscommunication between the screenplay and the director. It felt like..the director wanted something more lighthearted & safe and the writer wanted something more darker with some comedic elements.

Here are the five reasons I'm looking forward to Pirates 4.

-Most probably less bloated story with less plot-holes than the previous sequels
-Most probably better characterization of Jack Sparrow than the previous sequels
-Penelope Cruz as a Pirate, stronger female character
-No Will and Elizabeth Turner in Pirates 4
-Keith Richards is back as dad Sparrow

I still don't know what to make of this. Like many people, I enjoyed the first film and the other two not so much. While this looks like something of a return to the spirit of the first film, it's still the FOURTH film in this franchise, and I really don't know if I can put up with another Jack Sparrow adventure. On the other hand, this has Geoffrey Rush and IAN MCSHANE and it's still a pirate movie. I guess I'll wait for the reviews...
