Does it bother anyone else that Pizza Hut (and perhaps other Pizza companies as well) charge $3-4 for delivery? And that's without counting the tip for the delivery person.

...that actually seems quite reasonable. I'd happily pay a $4 delivery charge if I decided to be so ****ing lazy as to not go pick the damn pizza up myself.

Then again, a $4 delivery charge for Pizza Hut seems ridiculous, given that their pizza sucks balls and I would never be caught dead eating their pizza to begin with. Sooo...

Eating pizza from a franchise? Have some self respect man.

I've had Pizza Hut once in my life, tasted like cardboard with cheese on it.

do you know why they do? gas, it's not cheap anymore

  :nono:

i thought they added the delivery charge to ensure that the driver gets something for coming out

to me, it comes down to either a delivery charge or a tip. the higher the DC, the lower the tip. $3-4 is just ridiculous

I was under the impression that the delivery person has to pay gas from their own pocket. That's why they have to use their own car.

So, we're double-tipping them?

If the pay for gas doesn't come from the company then the delivery guy would be losing money buy working there right?

Not really because there's a Pizza Hut like in every 10 blocks, so the delivery person is running around the same neighborhood all day.

Dude I never give them tips unless it's raining or snowing and even then, they are lucky to get a dime from me! :argh:

How do they know I won't tip them? I get the pizza first before pulling out my gun and demanding they get off my property.

Well the silicone cheese does cost a dime.

Hey! Let's not make this about me! It's about Pizza Hut and their darn hidden charges! :argh:

You what the worst hidden charge I've ever heard of is?

Admit it. That's far worse. They charge you for coming to them. Now what sense does that make?

I know at one point McDonald's did.

If they didn't get paid for gas and mileage (they do around me), they could write the costs off on their taxes.
