...that you think the rest of us should give a shot and why.

It'd be great if it wasn't somewhere on the top 10 tourist attractions lists or something.

Hidden gems if you will.

Lagos, Nigeria and Abuja.
They are beautiful places to visit, but all that they ever show of Africa on TV are mud huts and starving children.

Malta. http://www.visitmalta.com

It's an island in the Mediterranean. I went there when I was 18 and loved every minute of it. Then again, I love islands.

I think I've been there 11 times or something. It was that place your parents love and drag you there every year. It rubbed off and I took my ex there when I proposed.

Not been since :o

The Appalachian mountains in eastern Kentucky, western Virginia, and West Virginia. I know it seems like a strange destination, but if you've never been and you're looking to travel within the US (or to the US) it's a great place with a lot of history and culture.

Also if there's hiking, mountain climbing, white-water rafting, skiing, and a lot of other outland adventure activities.

/department of tourism.

I've been all over the place, lived in 8 countries (my dad's a scientist and my mom's an economist). The place I loved the most was Japan because I got to train at my karate school's headquarters.

I was worried when I got there because it looked crowded, but then I noticed the tatt, errrr, road sign that said additional parking in rear and it all worked out.

She looked like the bottom of a twinkie by the time you 3 were done with her

I've been to Jerusalem twice. I went to Turkey one time with my church. We visited the ruins of the seven churches mentioned in the book of Revelations. That was a cool trip. It's one thing to read about all these places in the Bible, but to actually be able to physically touch these places makes them more real. To stand in the Garden of Gethsemane where Christ prayed the night before his crucifixion is really a humbling experience.

Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Nice town, good food.

Anywhere in the mountains of North Carolina...man, it's beautiful.

Maastricht, Holland. The oldest city in Holland, originally settled by the Romans, has houses that are older than the US, the scene of a battle between the US and Germans during WW2.

Roswell, New Mexico. They have really cashed in on the UFO craze. Their Wal-Mart has space crafts and little green men painted all over its out side.

I took a trip out west when I was about 11 with my grandparents and we drove the whole way. It was great got to go to Vegas, Hollywood, even went to Mexico for a day. Funny story though, while we were in Mexico we were just walking down the streets and going to shops and just having a nice day ya know. Well I was walking and there were these 2 older mexican gentleman talking and they were standing like 4-5 apart from one another so I just casually walked between them and the next thing I know one of these older gentlemen punches me in the arm. No lie! I was just like "WTF!" I turned and looked at him with a surprised expression on my face (because it didnt hurt or nuthin) and he just kept talking to his friend. It was so weird. Sometimes I actually question myself whether it actually happened or not cuz it was just so surreal. I mean why the hell some old ass dude gonna punch an 11 year old in the arm!

I've been to a couple places but my favorites were traveling around the Carribean and going to France(should've gone all around Europe but my family went way over the budget :down )

Ive visited Massachusetts alot, since alot of my family is from there, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maryland. The place i want to visit the most though is England.

The Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. One of the last places people actually speak Gaelic. The City of Gallway is great as well.
Stratton Mountain, VT- Great Skiing in the Winter and a great 27 Hole Golf Course.
Portsmouth, NH- great town with some fantastic Restaurants and Bars.
Arosa Switzerland skiiing is UNREAL!
Went to Aruba on my honeymoon and no complaints about that place either.

Eggy, let's go back to Malta together!

My neighbour has a house in Malta and goes there every 2 months. My parents have visited there alot too.

Alot of those Mediterranean and Greek Islands are great.

Its funny I've lived in england my whole life and never gone up to scotland. I haven't been to much of northern england either.

I think Wales is pretty beautiful part of Britain. Alot of tourists visit england and scotland but don't bother seeing the other home nation that makes up the island which is a shame.

Plus you miss hearing and reading that crazy language that is welsh!
