Planet Hulk/World War Hulk

Unless it is. It happened, ergo it's canon, and Hulk detractors could interpret it as the Hulk finally hitting his limit just as easily as Hulk fans could interpret it away from that idea.

This is why the only assumption that never makes an ass of "u" is; "That different writers create their own retconns as they write different stories".

Trying to argue about comic powers, particularly with characters like the Hulk or Superman, where everyone has a different take on how great they are, is impossible.

For example, Bryne's weak Superman compared to Kelly's "rearrange the solar system" Superman.

Arguing comic powers in Vs. type debates is really only the domain of the fanboy or the ******.

Wow, apparently a million suns have less battery time than I thought.

Seriously, I know the Hulk is "the strongest one there is" (and now also the smartest) but I really think the Sentry should have kicked his ass.
Also, John Romita Jr's art just sucked in this issue :csad:

If Hiroim dies then Skaar will get the oldstrong power as well and will be able to turn to stone. It's pretty clear that it's got one of those "single wielder at a time" type deals.

Thats why Hiroim didnt get it untill after Caiera died.

I TOLD YOU GUYS FOR YEARS THE HULK IS THE STRONGEST ONE THERE IS!!!!

Strange could have ended the war prematurely.

Squirrel Girl wasn't involved either.

For Sentry/Hulk: It could be explained one of many ways.

Firstly, obviously Hulk's energy is transfinite, and presumably, so is the Sentry's (though, that sort of retcons how he gets his powers and such, but hey, wouldn't be the first, won't be the last.) So that means that while he has TONS of energy at his disposal, and that it CAN recharge, even midfight, it does expend and "run out". That, or he just craps out randomly, or he has some odd absolute limit that the Sentry found.

The Sentry either has transfinite power himself (the most likely case, as his power originally was dependent on light to excite his powers to begin with, meaning they have a beginning, meaning they have an end, sort of.) Or he has infinite energy, and his mind is just set so he can't activate his powers without sufficient light from a certain time frame, or his powers crapped out (which is more likely than the Hulk, due to his instability.) They crapped out comes from just how MUCH energy he expends, and can viably handle without going overboard, assuming that by restraining Void level powers, he may have just mentally shut down. We DO know that the Sentry's powers are literally based on his mind, and what it can do, as represented by the Void, and the odd powers the Sentry has shown to have in passing. This may be affected by the many things that are in the fight, knowing he is already unstable as it stands. The Hulk is/was/can be his friend, and probably doesn't want to go about killing him. He might be aware of the Void's level barrier, and is trying to avoid it. He might be stressed out over all of this to begin with, and is having a hard time accepting that the guys he's backing just launched one of his old friends into space. Many things might be going through his mind. The Void may simply be taunting him from within, and was losing control. Rob is all about control, and the fail thereof. He might have simply not been able to hold his power. But it's most likely, that the Hulk requires so MUCH power, that the Sentry can't maintain without the negative side effects coming forth.

And the same can go for Hulk. I mean, the Hulk isn't exactly the picture of mental health, but more of mental conflict himself. And the same can easily apply.

While I think neither is really the case, and simply the Sentry probably got overexcited, and burned himself out, or shut down before he couldn't stop, and I think the Hulk probably just maxed out, or may have been affected by the Sentry himself, as the Sentry has shown that ability, amongst similar abilities before.

You're mistaken. Sentry stalemated Galactus, according to Spider-Man.

The details, however, are unknown. And that gives us a can of worms.

BOO YAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Extremely debatable. And should I post my reasoning 3 times now?

lol I love the Hulk and am So Glad he Has Beaten Everyone In Marvel

but sadly I'm pissed a freakin satellite beated him? a satellite!!!?

Hulk should of just left earth...that'd be my way to end the series

but oh well
best Marvel Series I've seen in a long time (and I'm a big DC Fan)

I wonder if everyone will like the Son of Hulk?

I think It's ok but seems funny

I mean I'm tired of silly Universal Horror titles
"The Son Of Hulk" The Bride of Hulk" "The Return of The Curse Of The Creatures Ghost" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ocy8TseK88I

This is really a spot on analysis of the situation as it stands, and until we get some writer commentary, or more exposition about what exactly happened. The fight is essentially a strange mess on could have would have, might haves.

I don't know if it's already been posted, but...

http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=136412

It seems to confirm and clarify a few things- that Robert and Bruce emerged because the two heavy hitters beat each other to the brink, what Miek was trying to do by attacking Rick besides the obvious, a definite answer as to why the Hulk freaks out towards the end, and Skaar- the "Ghengis Khan but with a Pak twist."

I'm really starting to dislike Sentry. He's a big golden pile of useless.

Even this past week in Captain Marvel's book. Bob's just floating there like an ass while his team fights that big Power Rangers robot. Cap comes in and flies through his head thus saving he day. Where were you BOB!?

Well, Sentry is like Doctor Strange. You can't just have him do stuff often, and that's why he's not really built for a team book. In fact, he should BE like Doctor Strange is (sans Bendis), and either seclude himself until he's needed (thus hammering in the idea of his fear of the Void), or mentally reduce his powers to "Thor" (pre King) levels, or just above. Surfer (pre Annihilation) levels maybe? Nah, still too powerful.

I don't think Sentry's cut out for Earth to be honest. His powers seem better suited for Quasar type duties. He and Cap.Marvel need to back their **** and head to another planet

He's just good at what he does, not hugely powerful. He's like a more powerful Captain America, kind of.

Well he was very brave to say that "Tony would have had better luck sending Sentry" to bring him in. Heh, cocky bastard.
