Plastic Man has always been in my top 10 of favorite characters. He rarely gets the respect he deserves and one of the best single comics that capture why he should be take. A little more seriously is the Injustice annual where he rescues his son from Superman. He is often overlooked but in my opinion he is the original wise cracking superhero. Without Plas paving the way I dont think Deadpool, Harley Quinn, or any other funny superhero would have came along as they did( not that they wouldnt have happened but I dont think they would have been what they are today). He is often nothing more than comic relief but he is a capable superhero. He would be perfect for the DCEU to inject some natural humor and fun into their movies. Sure he is funny but he he is so much more. A reformed criminal trying to find redemption. He was involved in a crime gone wrong that transformed him into a powerful being that also made his mind slightly off as well. His humor can range from dark to slapstick. He is a father that shunned his responsibilities not out of being a bad person but out of fear of failing as a father. The fear he would become the father he had. He is now trying to be a better man, a better father, and a better hero. His humor comes from his pain. In a world of Deadpool, Harley Quinn, and Antman there is definitely roomand a need for Plastic Man. A dash of Deadpool, a touch The Mask, a pinch of Spider-Man, and a tablespoon of adventure and we have a funny and action packed film with some heart
