I will need to read some of the trades first I like to catch up to the stories going on. Also same reason I don't buy invincible yet really need to catch up.

Yeah, there are some titles I only read through trades.

heh, appearently not, this is a trouncing :D

It's great, so far, although the bizarre release schedule for the trade paperbacks is annoying (Vol. 3 is out before Vol. 2). I've got #1 and #3, collected, and I have Winter Soldier Vol. 2 preordered; I'll also buy the TPB of the "21st Century Blitz" arc, and then start buying the single comics when the Civil War crossover starts in September.

Brubaker's run on Captain America is perfection. Not only has Epting improved in his art; but the book is one damn good read.

the only cap arc i've read and enjoyed was streets of poison, which was friggin' incredible. thank god for you, mark gruenwald.
i'll look into bru's run at some point; it hasn't flown completely under my radar. just not a super high priority for me right now.

someone's gona vote no. surrrrrely. right?

Eventually someone will vote no, but for right now it's blatantly obvious that the status quo here at the Hype dig Captain America's current run and the current creative team of Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting.

And that those 11 votes, as of right now, should seriously start picking this title up and join the awesomeness.

brubaker, like slott and millar, are one the great talents at marvel at this time.those 12 should at least pick up the current ish of cap just to check out this run.

My favorite iss hands down was the flashback issue with the Invaders. Definately yes.

Lark handled those flashbacks, I forgot which issue he actually did the whole thing.

EDIT: LOL! Lark actually did that issue it was #5.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of his. I'm so glad he brought him on DD. I'm not a big fan of Maleev, but Lark's art has such a similar quality to it, that it seemed to make that transition pretty seamless.

not a big maleev fan? I drooled at ever page from his DD run

Maleev is great, really awesome, I think Lark conveys action a bit better though.

Yeah cap kicking DDs ass was a nice touch. I thought the title was "streets of ice".... If I can remember that one correctly cap went nuts they had remove the serum from his system thus depowering him well sort of. Up until heroes reborn he wasn't back at his normal levels.... cap fans correct me if i'm wrong i'm not a huge cap fan. I've only started to pull cap books again thanks to you guys so feel free to fill in gaps.

No it was called streets of poison..i think the drug was called ice..and cap got his powers back like a few issues later he got tested and the doc said to him that his serum will never leave him. i got all the cap comics from vol 1 so ask away

I voted no...I started buying it and dropped it after it was revealed to be Bucky....

true Lark draws better action, the last issue had some great action shots.

Sorry but there should be no way that Bucky survives that. I can believe that Cap survives being frozen because of the super soldier serum but what saved Bucky....nothing....and him just losing an arm wouldnt have happened. This was a long range bomb full of fuel and explosives. Bucky should have been obliterated.

Roach is two for two...the only way he survies is the cosmic cube but for that to happen u have to mess with years of history.

I find that a little ironic. You can believe that a guy survives in a block of ice for years and years, but that a guy can't survive an explosion.

Yes I can believe that a man can survive in a block of ice because of experimentation. It has been stated since the begining that Cap survived because of the SSS.I however have a hard time believing that an ordinary person could survive being on a plane that explodes.
