If it comes to the Two, which one will you pick to be the next movie after the Incredible Hulk?

Thor. As much as I think Cap's a great character, the promise of an epic fantasy adventure directed by Matthew Vaughn outweighs the possibility of a good Cap script being written in the near future.

As a matter of fact, Ant-Man should be the one right after Thor. Captain America should be a film that ushers in the reality of an Avengers flick.

I pick Thor, although I am more of a Captain America fan.

Here are my reasons:
- Historically, the original Avengers include Thor but not Captain America.
- Steve Rogers is dead in the comics, Thor has been rejuvenated lately. The Cap replacement (Bucky) is certainly doing well.
- The quicker move should appease Matt Vaughn
- Captain America needs the success of both Indiana Jones 4 and the Mummy 3. Yes, I want the first movie solely as an alternate WW2 movie.

Thor well for me it's obvious WHY, but someone, can't remember who, brought up a point with Cap, is as much as WE here in the U.S. love Cap not to many other countrys do. It's a touchy subject I guess.

I'd LOVE to see how Spielburg would do Cap. I heard awhile ago he had shown interest in Cap and making a movie.

I personally want to see Cap first, but in practicality I'd rather see which ever movie is further along come first. I'd rather see a great Cap and great Thor movie as opposed to a rushed Cap movie and a great Thor movie. So, if we need Thor first to get a great Cap, then Thor.

Cap A. I find Thor to be boring

So we supposedly find out this Monday during a conference call what 2009's film will be?

Thor for me.A superhero who happens to be a 3000 year old thunder god is just totally awesome.Seeing him in all his glory on screen would be amazing.

Cap is still in rewrites according to Feige.

Thor, its almost put together as is.. and cap is still getting worked on. Cap is a touchy subject so shouldn't be rushed... it should seal the avengers movie, it should be a WW2 piece, and it ends with a "supposed death" followed by cap waking up looking at nick fury, iron man, thor, bruce banner, antman and wasp.

Captain America, I think would work best...it could be pretty cool, if they spin it the right way...

Well, even I speak for Thor (motivated largely by pragmatism) I'm very glad that there is certainly many interests on a solo Cap movie.

You guys should make somekind of petition or a website dedicated for solo Captain America movie, telling scaredy cat Marvel it's feasible to make it.

Thor. I'm a norwegian and we learned more about the norse Gods in school then we learnedt about that guy walking on water and scaring away the fish. :D

Hope they show us the God Víðarr to, I'm named after him (Vidar). Son of Odin, Vidar set out to avenge his fathers death and was a survivor of Ragnarok. He was also stronger then Thor when Thor did not wear his "strength belt".

Now, I know Thor is a bit different in Marvel-univers and that is good. I'm actually a bit skeptic to how they would make that character work on screen. But I'll probably love it :)

Thor seems to be further along, so go with that, and take time to get Captain America right.

i would go for Thor, mainly because i feel his story has more mass appeal. evryone knows of Thor, not jus the comic character but the thunder god. everyone will watch it. cap should be saved for when all the other charachters have had there films made.

I really don't care for Thor, but I want Cap to be perfected. If that means Thor being made first, so be it.

I would also like Cap to be set in WWII, with Spielberg directing, and have him get frozen at the end.

THOR. It just has so much potential. A CAPTAIN AMERICA film can even come after the AVENGERS movie if need be.

I want Thor to be the next Marvel Movie. It would be amazing to see an epic Norse fantasy superhero film

Captain America must be made before Casper Van Dien is too old. Plus it is the safer bet. I'm just not sure how well a movie about a Norse God being real and living in modern times would sit with middle America (then again, controversy can attract money ala The DaVinci Code). Although, I see no reason Marvel can't do both. They made Iron Man and TIH simultaneously.

The Thor movie is said to be set in Asgard and in Medieval Europe, so it will be much more of a fantasy film than a comic book film. He wont come to the modern world until The Avengers.

I think alot of folks are forgetting two things. The first is that Thor has the potential to be a fantasy version of Iron Man. The second is that Cap is a touchy subject in this day and age- a good writer could weave a tale that has all of the action and politics of a good Cap story, or go too far in either direction and ruin the character's image. Plus, Cap's iconic. Thor isn't quite as accurate to the Norse god he's based off of. Folks will give more leeway with massive changes to Thor than they will to Cap.

A Captain America film has to cover both his origin in World War II and his re-emergence in the modern era; there are two ways to do that: linear and non-linear. From what’s been said, it seems they’ll be doing a linear approach, but I think it would be better to do a non-linear story: my idea would open with the plane crash and Cap being frozen, which he wakes up from (as a nightmare); he’s been in the present for a little bit, and we get further flashbacks that go into his origin in the war, cued to various developments in the present (going to the White House in the present recalls him meeting FDR, for example; there’s a really awesome scene from the mid-90s "Sentinel of Liberty" I’d love to see adapted). In the present, the story would be Rogers’ increasing conviction that his World War II nemesis, the Red Skull, is still alive, and behind a series of terrorist attacks occurring around the world. SHIELD would have a fairly large role in this, since they’re usually a key part of Cap’s series, and major supporting plays like Sharon Carter and Nick Fury work for it (probably Sam/Falcon too; I’m not sure if he’d be a superhero in this version, or just a SHIELD agent).
