That is very interesting indeed. See, my perception was that Batman and Dent would be at odds because of the two different ways they go about trying to rid the city of crime. I envision that there will already be tension between Wayne and Dent because of this whole Rachel thing and I thought that might carry over as well. And that Dent would be the one smashing the signal.

Maybe Joker turns it on to set a trap for Batman and Gordon is trying to turn it off to save him, but he can't get it to shut down- therefore he has to smash it before batman falls into the trap.

I think Joker should turn the bat signal upside down like in Arkham, it'd get the feel that Joker is taking over.
