What was wrong with this guy being a drunken, cantankerous, maladjusted midget with minimal powers. And when did this guy grow? Wasn't he once 5' 0" or less? I miss all the short pint jokes!

He's still usually drawn pretty short. In Cassaday's Astonishing X-Men, he was just a bit taller than Kitty. I still chalk any taller depictions up to ignorance on the artist's part, since Hugh Jackman's movie portrayal shouldn't have any bearing on the comic incarnation (I'm looking at you, Greg Land).

I'd have to say Daredevil I don't think he sucks or anything just have tried and could never get into him. Also Gambit I do not like him one bit. Other than that none are coming to mind.

wow. i will always dig DD even after that mediocre film of his, but i always have a special place for those street level guys. I agree that over the years he hasn't matched the 1st time that Frank Miller came on board. theres being some hits and misses over the years in stories, but iam really starting to get back into it since theres going to be a lady bullseye in it.

i liked the DD movie as well , but it was mediocre.As a fan of Daredevil . i just wanted it to be on the level of Spiderman 1 and 2. It had it moments of brilliance, but that fight in the playground between him and electra was dumb. I dunno i like the dudes that stretch. Plas and Mister Fantastic( with a name like Mister Fantastic how could you not).I Liked Mr Fantastic every since I saw him stretch thru a crack in a wall. Then i remembered it was a comic book, but it was still cool. Everybody except Elongated Man.That twitching nose thing was kinda creepy.

I've always liked the Hulk, but I've never managed to sustain any long-term interest in his comics. I love certain stories, like the Professor Hulk era under Peter David and the recent Planet Hulk stuff under Greg Pak, but I usually read his comics for a while, they're great, and then I sour on them or drop them for money concerns or whatever, and it takes me forever to get back into them. Rinse and repeat and you have my history with the Hulk.

Man you don't dig Thor.I mean that's cool everybody digs who they like, but how can you not Like a dude that clobbers the crap out of everything with a big honkin hammer.I mean some of the greatest fights were with Hulk and Thor.With Hulk trying to pick up that hammer.yeah some of his stories in the 80"s were lame *cough cough Thunderstrike cough*, but his book now is great.Man if Thor showed up you knew someone was going home with a concussion.

Honestly, I think this kind of stuff was and is a big part of it. I just can't relate to that. And I also didn't like how he KIND of was Donald Blake, but not really, or was he, and it made my head hurt.

Ultimate Thor I did like. I just could never get into classic....

That seems to be the consensus. People who like Ultimate Thor like him because they could never get into 616 Thor, and people who like 616 Thor f***ing hate Ultimate Thor with the burning passion of a million billion suns.

Haha....seriously though, I've heard that too. One of the guys who work at the comic book shop I go to HATES ultimate Thor....but he hates a lot of things....soooo

(He's actually the owner, and in a fit of rage after the first issue of Ultimate Origins came out he threatened to stop carrying Ultimates. Like....all of it. Just get rid of it.)
