Possibility of Superman Vs. Batman Tie-In

I know movie tie-in games usually suck, but...What if WB Games set to release a great movie tie-in game just as they managed to establish the greatest comic book videogame series yet (Arkham)?

Maybe they could enlist WB Montreal (Arkham Origins) to do it, given that Rocksteady wants to go to a different direction after they complete Arkham Knight.

My take is that if they start development on a timely manner and just focus on few platforms (say, PS4 and XB1) they can come up with a great game to coincide with the movie release in the summer of 2016.

What do you think are the odds for this to happen?

Probably pretty slim. If we get any kind of tie in, it'll more than likely be on mobile. That was the only kind of tie in for MoS and most companies have fallen out of favor doing the big console tie in releases because of poor sales and poor quality.

Zero, that's the odds.

I forgot about the mobile thing. I believe you're right and the most we will get is a mobile game

I think we'll get a Justice League game.. maybe by WB Montreal.. In that game we'll get skins from Superman/Batman.

I can see a Batman game as it's been done and done well multiple times but how would you do Superman? He's totally different with a playstyle that would destroy any difficulty of a Batman game unless you decided to use 'kryptonite fog' to slow him down.

A Superman game would have to simply be a long open world game. I wouldn't want any BS with people being able to hurt me.. If I'm playing AS Superman I want to plow through people. I want it to be "God Mode: The Game." If they could find a way to make bosses challenging or at the very least clever.. great.. But I wouldn't even want them to really harm me unless they were some of Superman's better rouges.

The game would just have to be open world.. Full of crime and pretty long.

I don't think there's a chance. The most we'll get is probably some one-off mobile game that will get put on iOS and Androids.

I think WB has come around on this, and figured out that putting out good products on consoles that have nothing to do with a film that's been released is better in the long term.

Yea if we don't get one this gen, im giving up hope as to ever seeing the character get his own game.

Well keep in mind, Injustice was basically a Justice League game, just done as a fighter.

As far as a Batman vs Superman game tie in, i think the chances of that are slim to none in terms of an actual console release. Batman has been re-established as far as games and has pretty much become the bar as far as superhero games. Superman hasn't reached that level yet. If they DID make one, like ProjectPat said, it would more than likely be a mobile release, slap on a $4.99 pricetag and call it a day. At this point in the game, I think WB would be more focused on Injustice and this next Batman game, a mobile game of BvS would do nothing more than hold people over until their next AAA title comes out on consoles.
