That plot is so ridiculous, it borders on parody.
That's what I was going for.

That plot is so ridiculous, it borders on parody..
You guys will probably hate this idea
But I think they hired the writer to rework her old script
Change it to Linda Cardinelli having a fourth child and now that female heroes are friends now after saving the universe they attend her baby shower
Black Widow
Captain Marvel
Rescue
Scarlet Witch
Okaye
Wasp
Valkryie (Living on Earth in New Asgard)
etc
Then the plot happens after that
idk just a thought
Instead of killing Clint you could introduce Natasha's new family in the solo project. We would meet Nat's new husband, who against all odds found love again after the tragic death of his first wife (Get it? He's a Widower! They're a perfect match!). And his two adorable young twin daughters, who in just a short period of time have grown extremely close to "Mommy Nat". And who can forget the family's adorable Golden Doodle puppy, Avenger?
Then you kill all of them off, even the widdle doggie. THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR TRYING TO FIND HAPPINESS ROMANOFF!!!!
Count me in as one of the ones that wants Clint as part of Natasha's supporting cast. Clint is a great character if written well, which unfortunately he hasn't been in the MCU.
When did Jeremy Renner ever say that about Scarlett Johansson getting a better agent?
I'm a huge fan of comic book Hawkeye, all smartass and cracking wise and butting heads with straight-laced heroes like Captain America, but the MCU version was created in a setting that already had a wisecracking smartass Tony Stark butting heads with straight-laced Captain America stealing his entire characterization, and is instead deadly dull.
Another point would be that the actor has called the character of Black Widow a ****, and said that if Scarlett (or other MCU actresses) doesn't get paid as much, she should get a better agent and that it's not any concern of his, so that he's basically crapped on both the character of Black Widow and the actress playing her, which, IMO, doesn't really fill me with a burning desire to see him getting a paycheck to appear in a Black Widow movie. (Granted, I care less about actors being entitled twits with piggish attitudes than I am with the MCU Hawkeye being a black hole of suck, and not wanting to see that boring character anymore...)
I would much, much rather that if Black Widow movie either had no sidekicks at all, or someone like the Winter Soldier as her sidekick.
If you watch that interview it's clearly a joke, his delivery was not serious at all and it was in response to a really stupid question (which in those kinds of interviews they get a lot of). It was blown way out of proportion because people just read the headline or quotes taken out of context.I'm not a huge Renner fan or anything, but they just made one off-color joke during a press setting. Like no one here in their life has never made an off-color politically incorrect joke in certain settings before. It wasn't like anyone was being serious about calling Natasha a "****."
When I was a kid I was told it was impolite to ask people about their wages and ask how much they are being paid. Why is it Renner's responsibility, if he's an actor and not a producer on a film to make sure Jennifer Lawrence is getting paid the same as him? Should he be calling Lawrence's agent and representation and make sure she's taken care of and take a pay cut because she's Jennifer Lawrence?
That's not his responsibility. That's responsibility of Lawrence's agent and managers. THEY WORK FOR HER! She pays them and gives them a cut of her salary to make those deals. Obviously they didn't do a good job. And maybe she should get a better agent. Agents and managers work for the actors. Not the other way around. They literally pay them.
And look I'm not saying there is pay inequality that needs to be fix. But I also don't think Renner is necessarily wrong for what he said. Especially if it's not his business what Lawrence gets paid compared to him, etc.

Actors also aren't that involved in negotiating the contract themselves because it can be a long, complicate, and back and forth process. Very unrealistic to expect all actors to be involved in each other's pay. Plus, just speaking in general terms, just because people are in the same movie does not mean they get paid the same. There are a ton of factors including time needed on set, how big of a star they are, and the negotiating tactics of their managers.
Anyway, if the movie's gonna include an origin than you have to have Hawkeye, they've already establish his importance there. But the characters also have great chemistry and history to play off of.

I didn't find it funny either. But it was a bad off-color joke made during a dumb, silly press junket interview. Not an example of legitimate "****-shaming."Also Chris Evans made similar jokes and I know that he wasn't being serious (because he and Scarlett have been good friends for a long time and I seriously doubt that he'd be deliberately malicious towards her).
Now I will say that the problem with the joke for me was, it simply wasn't that funny.
Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo have offered their opinions on a Black Widow film, describing the potential Marvel Studios project as crazy exciting.

Yeah, were very happy for that. I mean, its such a rich and interesting character, Joe Russo told the Happy Sad Confused podcast. Theres so much to explore with a character whose history was as a villain, and you know, Scarlett does such a good job of playing that character and people are so used to that character and people are so used to that character that you forget the characters history, and so theres a lot of compelling stories to tell about someone who has a dark past.
Who should the villain in Black Widow be? My votes are for Rose and Charlie, Yelena Belova or Kestrel.
I would keep her comic backstory as a jealous rival of Black Widow and have her work for Dran as a mercenary.Originally an agent of the Russian government, Iron Maiden always lived in the shadow of the legendary Black Widow, something that caused her to develop a great hatred of her. She eventually left Russia to become a freelance assassin and mercenary
Damon Dran the 'Indestructible Man' would be my pick.
He is one of Black Widows villains who complements her character as a foe as Black Widow is an assassin/spy and Dran is a paranoid near indestructible billionaire.
My choice for Henchwomen/secondary villain would be
Iron Maiden (Melinna Von Vostokoff).

Natasha's ex-husband (Alexei Shostakov) Red Guardian could be another option for a villain. I'm not sure they will do a villainous version of Captain America though as they already have that with Winter Soldier.
