I don't like the fact that the rumor states Felicia falls in love with Peter, when Peter unmasked for her in the comics she was appalled and preferred being with the mysterious man in a mask. In Ultimate she even puked on him when she unmasked him. The whole point is that she loves Spider-Man; not Peter Parker.

I'm not opposed to BC in a future sequel, but i think there are several OTHER Spidey rogues more deserving of the big screen treatment first.

That, and the fact that we've already seen ENOUGH of the Peter/MJ relationship problems in the first three films.

Can we, for once, just have an all-out action Spidey flick?

I think it would be genius if all of these rumors were simply marketing purposes. I don't remember what T.V. show shot multiple endings so the actors and actresses never knew what truly was going on. Then when some leaked what they believed the ending was going to be, everyone was blind sided by something totally different.

I think it would be awesome if this was just Sam and Sony making Spider-Man fans wig out and think this next movie is going to be a "disaster" like Spider-Man 3. This ultimately would cause expectations to be low and then when things start to become more serious, fans could possibly be wowed by a brilliant story.

That would be the type of approach I would have if dealing with something like this.

However, not saying the conspiracy theory holds water...if that is in fact what they are planning on doing then BOO!

If this is indeed true, good God Almighty! This sounds like they've combined the Muriel Hemingway character from Superman IV: The Quest for Peace and the Elektra subplot from Daredevil and infused that into the Black Cat. I bet the fear was from the studio execs that Felicia Hardy was too "Catwoman" and so they wanted to tweak things, but jeez.

Thats why that story sound familiar, I can’t believe I didn’t see it earlier...
though, to a certain degree all of the Spiderman movies have followed a similar formula to the superman movies…
Superman 1/Spiderman 1= origin story (obvious )
Superman II/ Spiderman 2 = hero giving up his power for the girl he loves
Superman III/Spiderman 3 = we see the first love interest from the comics (i.e. Gwen/Lana) and the hero is turns bad
So, following the same pattern as superman IV would = new editor/bosses daughter
(not that I am saying it is any more realistic or true, just that I get where the idea came from)
