Reloaded and Revolutions beat Resurrections in terms of action but I prefer the story/script of Resurrections.

I'm still not understanding why they felt it was necessary to resurrect Neo and Trinity. That seems like a self-defeating prophecy. Also, why use old programs like Smith in the new Matrix upload?

So the Machine race splintered? I just feel like when the movie tries to explain things it just makes it even more confusing.

Also, if they can build such complex machinery and virtual simulations, why not think about building something that can fix the atmosphere issue? Like if you can literally rebuild human bodies and resurrect human beings...surely you can clear some pollution and get all the solar energy you need.

What is it that makes Neo and Trinity anomalies? Why do they create so much energy for the machines that the machines are so desperate for their energy? How do they create the energy in the real world?

I kind of felt like Smith's role in this story was pointless and served no purpose. I didn't like Groff playing Smith either.

So I rewatched it a second time, and while I still enjoy it, I think I still put Revolutions over Resurrections, mainly due to the action, music, and story. So here's my new updated list that includes Animatrix as well. I think Resurrections is a mostly solid entry, so I'm still pleased with the series as a whole.
