I certainly found the same upon my first viewing. But after watching it at home my liking of the movie has gone up. You can appreciate the quieter moments a bit more at home, were as they kinda got lost in the spectacle in my first viewing.

Aquaman has lot of character moments, they can get lost if one chooses to focus too much on action and jokes.

I agree. I understand fan's complaints about Superman's characterization but I highly enjoyed that movie. As for the final battle and people calling it "destruction porn" , that's what I've been wanting to see when two God-like beings battle it out.
