The symbol on his chest is a bit dodgy but aside for that I like it. I have a feeling I'll be the only one though :(

Love it. Who is it? It's kind of reminiscent of McKean.

Too bad BB doesn't seem to have any of that visual flair.

Time will tell. The shot of him on the roof with his cape blowing is pretty impressive...

I respect you and all, but what the f**k are you on to make you think that BB doesn't have any visual flair? Have you even SEEN any of the trailers or TV spots? Hell, one of the TV spots has a scene just like that with Bats in the rain (only difference is that in the scene it's from behind him).

Agreed. I was going to say the exact same thing, The Begins cape, in my opinion is the greatest improvement on the suit in film.

Consider this a BUMP:

There is some good stuff, but overall, the lighting has kind of a muddy look to me. I'm not talking about the scenes here, just the cinematography. That concept art has high contrast and chiaroscura, but most of the films lighting has seemed flat to me.

Yeah, and I seem to remember a real nice frame in frame shot where he is crouching on a window ledge, I just wish they were going for more hard, high key, lighting with more chiaroscrura in terms of composition. Who knows though, the trailers haven't shown much as far as Batman is concerned. I will say that I love the design of Gotham.

Understandable. If the BOF review is legit then one of my fears has been vanquished--according to the reviewer, Batman's in shadow when he's with Gordon and Rachel, so you can barely see much of him. Let's hope...

Two of the best images ever. He utilizes such little detail, regardless, Mazz is probably my favorite Batman artist. I guess like DaVinci said, "detail leads to perfection but perfection has no detail."

And the Moebius image is a classic, and favorite amongst the BB crew...
