Very nice.

I find myself warming up to this new series, the more and more I see.

And getting a proper, official orange ranger is awesome!

Which female Megaforce Ranger do you people think is hotter, Emma Goodall / Pink Ranger played by Christina Masterson, or Gia Moran / Yellow Ranger played by Ciara Hanna?

Gia/Ciara by a mile. Christina is cute. But Ciara is hot, funny, and on the show he has a lot of personality to me. (If only the show had better writing on point with previous Old Saban and Disney Power Rangers seasons like In Space, Dino Thunder, SPD, Zeo, etc)

Agreed

Go, go prehistoric era!

The kid-friendly heroes of Saban’s Power Rangers return to the land before time for its 22nd season next year with Power Rangers Dino Charge. The series will air on Nickelodeon in 2015, and Bandai America is slated to create a new dinosaur-themed toy line pegged to its launch.
Dinos are a big draw in Japan and will continue the Power Rangers’ strong success overseas, according to Bandai CEO Akihiro Sato. And by returning to the Jurassic influence that also gave the world Power Rangers Dino Thunder in 2004, “we know fans will find this next season larger than life,” said Elie Dekel, President of Saban Brands.

In Dino Charge, the Paragon Prisms were given to a dozen dinosaurs for safe keeping by an alien, but they were lost when asteroids hit the Earth and wiped out the dinos. Now in the present day, an intergalactic bounty hunter starts sniffing around Earth looking for the Prisms in order to harness their power and annihilate the world, so a team of Power Rangers forms to find the Prisms first and fight the bounty hunter and other threats with dino-powered swords, blasters, Zords (in Power Rangers lingo, large fighting machines) and Megazords.

No need to wait till next year for a new season of Power Rangers, though — Power Rangers Super Megaforce, the 21st season of the franchise that debuted in 1993, premieres Feb. 15 (noon ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

While I'm glad we'll finally be caught up with the sentai, in terms of distance of series, I am beyond pissed that they are skipping the series I was MOST looking forward to.

And why, Why, WHY couldn't they have skipped Goseiger, like everyone wanted?

JUST WHY!

I am very disappointed.

At least we'll get this sooner:

That is, if they can work around the Go-Buster footage. :csad:

Damn I was also looking forward the Go Busters adaptation :csad:

So they can skip a season after all? And for my next question, why didn't they wait to do that with Tokkuuger??

KbTDSzI.jpg

Do we know why they are skipping it?

Because Saban couldn't pass up a dino season NOW?

Considering how much they seem to want to recapture the feel of MMPR, they're eager to jump ahead to another dinosaur-themed Sentai.

Go-busters could have been adapted but Kyoryuger was just too tempting to wait.

This means we'll be back on track with Sentai and being a year behind.

Or they could simply switch the order. Like they could use Go-Busters, when it's supposed to be Tokkuuger's turn.

According to Fury Diamond (of RangerCrew/Megaforce Cast), Go-Buster footage will be used somehow in Dino Charge.

He just posted the news on the RangerCrew Facebook page.

Well, crap. I guess they could treat them like that season's alien Rangers.

"Super Megaforce" (the episode) is now available for early viewing on Nick.Com ahead of its television premiere next Saturday.

Just watched it!:woot: It was surprisingly good! I think if you didn't like how Megaforce was going lately, then this is the episode for you!

Here's what I liked and didn't like:

  • The Rangers going into buildings and saving people. It was a cool scene.
  • The dialogue was surprisingly not as cringe-worthy
  • Good action
  • The fact that they used morphing calls of the teams they were morphing into. What I mean is that they were yelling "Go Go Samurai!" or "Magical Source! Mystic Force!" when they changed into the Samurai and Mystic Force Rangers. I was actually fearing that like in Megaforce the new upgrade wouldn't be treated as nicely as seen in Megaforce and I thought this would be the case. Rest assured it's not so far.
  • The nice callback to the 1st episode of Megaforce involving humans working together.
  • Chuckle-worthy one liners like "At least it took 5 teams to beat me!"

The only thing I didn't like was the lack of acknowledgement/explanation of the Pirate theme/motif. It was just simply "Super mode".

Which female Megaforce Ranger do you people think is hotter, Emma Goodall / Pink Ranger played by Christina Masterson, or Gia Moran / Yellow Ranger played by Ciara Hanna?
Both actually, but I like Ciara more.

Others' mileage may vary, but
I don't think the Pirate motif needed to be acknowledged. They could've gotten some levity out of doing so, but the 'look' of these Rangers' powers has never been a plot point before and I see no reason why it needed to be now.

*Bear in mind that I haven't seen a full Power Rangers episode in 10 years after Dino Thunder.

I have seen snippets of each season afterward and know that things have progressively gotten worse. RPM looked decent. I checked it out for the Go-Onger reference.*

With that said on to Super Megaforce. What. The. Hell?

Is this how things are now? Unexplained and rushed pieces tied together with Sentai footage?

"Why am I green?"

"No time to explain that! Go!"

For someone with no ass Gosei sure loves pulling things out of it.

"Ranger's here are new morphers! Ranger's here are new zords! Don't ask where they came from!"

Troy- Awesome!

Ofcourse there's the unnecessary chatter in battle to keep kids attentions

Looks like they kept the star burst attack name for Legendary Megazord.

This needed two episodes to build up to. There was no excitement and no tension to things. It was just "here you go"

"Super Megaforce" should have had the rangers struggle in episode 1 and then Gosei presents the Legend powers"

I miss the build up like Zeo Rangers

I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I wish Tommy was coming back with his MMPR White Ranger powers instead of his MMPR Green Ranger powers. Mainly because White Ranger costume has a neater design to it.

^ Don't despair.

I believe we'll see the White MMPR powers, thanks to Orion the Silver Ranger.

Jason David Frank already confirmed in an interview that he'll be using the green and white powers.
