Power Rangers under Saban Brands is straight-up unwatchable.

It's that bad. The show has reached 'Batman and Robin' levels of crap.

Getting Battlestar Galactica vibes from this... not sure if good/bad thing.

I would agree with to an extent Valeyard. It is definitely not the best Saban can offer, and he's offered up fantastic stuff before. But it's not unwatchable, there are times and moments when it is, but a lot of times it's still tried and true Power Rangers.

Take today's episode, "Endgame", it was non-stop action and set up the Legend War beautfilly. I'll post my review later but I gave it a high score.

I fear for Power Rangers too, I would love to work for Saban and pitch my Power Rangers idea in an effort to bring it back to the level of excellence I know it can obtain.

Saban just keeps getting cheaper by the years and doesn't care about making the show good or about the older audience it draws. Sucks.

I know, it is a little depressing. I'm going to be doing a countdown of the Power Rangers series from worst to best, and I have to admit that Samurai and Megaforce aren't going to be very high up. They aren't the worst, but they most certainly aren't the best.

Here's hoping my series will bring the spark of life back to the series.

Power Rangers: Guardians....Theme Song coming soon.

Saw the latest episode End Game, it wasn't bad. I liked how Gosei was genuinely scared at the end. I know that the show has bad writing, but it's for kids, that's something we need to remember. I'm only really watching it just to see the old Rangers come back, which is happening real soon. :)

It was 20 minutes of Sentai footage basically, with minimal unmorphed character time.

They've just been burning through the Goseiger footage with minimal effort.

I expect the Gokaiger adaption to be a waste as well.

Troy is quite possibly the worst character and actor in ranger history. The robots seem less robotic in comparison to him.

This is truly PR at it's lowest low unfortunately. None of the previous iterations of the franchise have been this creatively bankrupt.

Just because the show is geared towards kids is no excuse. My Little Pony is more mature along with other children shows. The show was getting more mature after the 1st season of MMPR. But Saban watered down the show even more after he got it back.

Exactly Slayer, this show being "geared towards kids" is not an excuse. They can have a kids show with very grown up messages, it's been done before and it's being done now.

Megaforce though is definitely not the worst PR series ever. That goes to Wild Force and Operation Overdrive.

I'll give you Operation Overdrive but leave my Wild Force out of it! Mystic Force can co-habit that spot

Mystic Force is near the bottom too. Wild Force though was the first non-Saban Power Rangers...and it showed!!!!

Wildforce had Master Org and Zenaku. That makes it better than anything that Megaforce gave us.

Overdrive was weak but actually had regular original fight sequences in every episode and original storylines. More effort was put into it than Megaforce, by leaps and bounds.

The few good episodes of OO were much better than the few (very few) decent episodes of Megaforce. See:

"Both Sides Now"
"Follow The Ranger"
"Face to Face" Pts 1 and 2
"Man of Mercury" Pts 1 and 2
"Home and Away" Pts 1 and 2

etc

For the record, Zenaku and Merrick are on my All-Star teams of Epic Villains and Best Rangers ever. And "Forever Red" is a an all-time classic episode. Which is why it won't be the worst ever. But it'll still be low because of everything else.

Megaforce isn't great, Troy is TERRIBLE!!! I totally agree, he shows no emotion yet everyone likes him. But it does have Robo Knight, who is rather cool. And it does have some good villains and the Legend War will most likely top Forever Red.

Every series has it's ups and downs, hopefully though next one (not Super Megaforce the one after) will turn up the epicness and turn down the campiness.

It's obvious Saban Brands is aiming PR for kids...I'm just watching...periodically...for the legends teamup...

The audiences have changed since the days of Justice League/Justice League Unlimited and old school Power Rangers. Look at the big cartoons of the 60s-90s and how different they are today. Well now people see that the intended target audience do not want that and we can't do anything about it.

Wild Force was great! The only good episodes of Operation Overdrive was Once A Ranger.

in this case, I think your Avatar says it all Nathan.

My Rangers will definitely look cool......those don't.

I remember back in the day when Turbo was dubbed easily the worst season and there was pretty much universal agreement. And viewers comforted themselves with, "At least it couldn't be any worse than this."

Heh.

We pretty much witnessed the moment Toei ran out of ideas.
