Figured I'd give you guys an update (considering it's now only a week away). We finally got some confirmations on flights and what not yesterday. There is very little information beyond that as of now but, the flights and rooms are booked so, this is definatly happening. I kinda didn't believe it all until yesterday actually and am trying to remain as calm as possible... though, I'm sure you all understand my (our) excitement.

I'll keep you posted with what exactly we'll be up to... if we find out.

Thanks for the update,I was thinking about you guys today. Mostly wondering what everyone will be wearing. I'm obsessed with it.

talked to Heather from the Sony Travel dept today and said we will picked up at the airport by a car service and taken to the hotel. there will be something going on after the movie and all 3 of us are going! also she mentioned that the dress code will be varied...some will be in suits...some in casual wear...so its up to you what you want to wear. just no speedos....PLEASE! t:

Thanks for the update BG. I emailed Heather and she responded with a new itinerary that has the pickup info on it. Didn't know the other stuff though. Awesome!

I still have no idea what I'll wear, likely a combination of all of the above... including the speedo.

Hey, think there's any GR speedo's out there?

Or thongs?... not that I do, or ever will, wear a thong but... might be awesome for the lady friend. Meow.

I still can't believe this is happening folks. I got my passport today. It's in my hands. I have a travel itinerary. It wasn't a huge practical joke. Reality of this whole situation is finally setting in.

I gotta tell you folks. I'm really excited to have the opportunity to travel to the US. I'm sure it'll be exactly the same as here... well, in a most figurative sense of the word. I'm in a MUCH different place than New York. New York has a population 4 times the size (or more perhaps) of my provinces entire population. MUCH different place.

I'm excited though. Nervous. Anxious. Very excited.

I'm sure NY will be a huge culture shock for me. No so much about how it inhabits unfriendly people, so they say (though I do come from the friendliest place on earth) but more about how different the mega large city will be. It'll be busy, huge and crowded... which is nothing like this little ol' capitol city of mine.

In fact, and this may be strange to ya'll, there's a huge chance that I'll get some media coverage here about this trip. This is pretty big news in this province of mine and I'm sure that after I write the media outlets today, that they'll want to do a little story about it. "Young Newfoundland Actor gets rare opportunity to taste hollywood"... or something like that.

Ok, so I heard back from one media outlet about the trip and they are indeed going to do a story about it. It's for our provincial newspaper and I'll be getting interviewed about it tonight. Crazy. This just goes to show how small a place I live, I guess. Of course, this is some pretty incredible news so...

I guess I have MSJ to thank for a little extra exposure (as an actor) here at home as well.
