Premiere

Flamehead, good luck with the interview, if its online, definitely share a link!

On another subject, I dont think MSJ really had much to do with it...how can they have a premiere without having fans like you and MM there? You guys pretty much nursed this message board for years. You kept us updated, you kept us hyped, and you made this forum grow. Like MSJ said, its all about us fans and he's makin this movie for us, so again...its all you baby!

Thanks Midnyte. The photographer was just here to take a pic of me in front of my GR stuff. I'm now wearing the T-Shirt that MSJ sent me a while back... for the first time. Awesome. My interview is in a little while... and yes, if it's online, I'll let you know. I may try and scan it regardless.

Yeah, I definitely live in a completely different world than you folks (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=...219,-51.503906&spn=7.421475,24.960937&t=h)and yes, it's very crazy to be visiting the states. The passport thing gave me a lot to worry about at the begininng, let me tell you. I was so afraid to even talk about this, in case I wouldn't be able to go.

Anyway, the paper that's covering the story can be found here: http://www.thetelegram.com/

I have no idea if it'll be online, how big it'll be, what it's focus is, but, I'll let you know after work tonight a little more.

Just went to the store last night and bought myself a suit jacket and some pants... :D

Lookin' pretty good, the critics are going to think I have a major role in the movie with this get-up.
Going all out for the premiere.......AWESOME!!!!:woot:

It should be interesting to see the critics reactions when they ask

Critics - "Were you involved with the production or something"

You guys - "We posted on Superherohype for 3 years since the first day the movie was announced"

Critics - :wow:

Sounds awesome FlameHead...I'm happy for you, all 3 of you guys. You deserve it so much.

CAH

Wow, ive only peaked in every now and then on the Ghostrider production. I didn't even know MSJ was hitting up the boards pretty regularly, very freaking cool. I love it when they do that, makes this reality a bit more bearable.

Anyways congrats to you 3 guys, I wanna see lots of pics, tons of them! Have crazy fun in New York its a great town!

Woot woot!

Awesome,guys.

It's going to be very surreal I'm sure. I probably wont blink the entire trip. By the time I meet Mark, I'm gonna be wired.

Livin' in the middle of nowhere certainly has it's benifits. It's absolutly beautiful here, it's not crowded, it's safe and it's filled with friendly people. It's the best place to raise kids, let's put it that way.

On the other hand, it sucks and it sucks a lot. There's no opportunity here for any kind of worker really. Unemployment in my province is at crazy levels, per capital. It's always been that way and that's why everyone leaves and moves to Alberta (or everywhere else in the world. There's a Newf everywhere. In fact, there are double the Newfs outside of this province than in... or more).

So, you can only imagine what it must be like for an actor. I've been lucky though. Newfoundland is an extremely culturally aware province. Lots of funding goes into such things here, which is good. Art is respected, which is better. It just sucks when you know you can be more and not having that opportunity to, ya know?

So, yeah, I live in a different place... but, then again, this world isn't a very big place so...

Wow. I talk to much sometimes.

As soon as I get home from seeing GR I'll be letting everyone on SHH & the world know what we thought of GR, from what I've seen on iesn & the promo's it should be GREAT.

When exactly do you see it? How many hours... so I don't have to screw around with time zones. :woot:

Okay, so you'll be watching it 3:00am my time. Awesome. You better have some reports by the time I get up. LoL.

In other news, about that article for the paper I was talking about yesterday, well it was printed today. Not only was it printed though, it took up half of the front page and parts of the 2nd. Crazy.

And not on that, just then as I was typing this, I got a call from a local radio station. The host taped an interview with me about the trip. This is all getting pretty crazy.

It is a bunch of free promotion for the movie though. Albeit, only throughout the entirety of Province but, promotion none the less. At the end of the radio interview, I said "And to all your listeners, be sure to go see Ghost Rider. It's gonna be awesome!" Hehe.

Biggun,

So jealous of you and Flamehead but you guys TOTALLY DESERVE IT!!

:D

Have a FANTABULOUS TIME!! *hugs*

I wish you enjoy the film and have a great time. I envy you but you deserve it. You are true fans of the Rider.

MSJ: Thank you for rewarding the fans, For making GR and for being so good and kool.

Thanks folks. It's going to be amazing.

Guys, this is getting crazy here in the land of me. People are eating this up here. I've got another interview with CBC television about it tomorrow moving, to make the evening news. They say they're gonna try and get a trailer for the movie to go along with it. Awesome.

Unfortunatly, the article didn't show up online but, I figured I'd type it out for you seeing as I don't have a scanner. So, along with a large picture on the front page, there is this article. Am I allowed to do this?

Screw it. Go visit there website in return for reading or something... yeah, that's the ticket. Anyway.

'Ghost Rider' fan off to premiere
by Tara Mullowney, The Telegram
http://www.thetelegram.com

Stephen Harris is having trouble deciding what to wear Thursday.

He's not going to work, nor is her taking his girlfriend out for a belated Valentines Dinner.

Harris will walk the red carpet in New York with Nicolas Cage, Eva Mendes and Peter Fonda at the world premiere of the movie "Ghost Rider".

"I'm not sure what to wear and I'm really nervous about that. I have no idea", Harris told The Telegram. "It's a biker movie, so there's probably going to be a bunch of people wearing leather, but they told me business casual. I've been dreaming about walking a red carpet for 20 years."

Harris, a native of Churchill Falls, is an actor living in St. John's who ran for the Green Party in last year's federal election. To say he is a fan of the Ghost Rider character would be a massive understatement.

Ghost Rider began as a Marvel comic character; a man who transforms into a flaming skeleton motorcyclist with supernatural powers.

Harris has about 800 Ghost Rider comics, and has posted a total of 15,000 messages in the Ghost Rider chatroom on superherohype.com, which he now moderates.

"I was always into supernatural things like ghosts and goblins, and, of course, he's the coolest looking character on Earth," Harris explained.

Harris found the website in 2003 after hearing a rumour there was to be a "Ghost Rider" movie, and joined the chatroom. At the time, there were less than a half-dozen regular Ghost Rider posters.

After a while, a new poster joined, contributing under the alias MSJ for awhile before revealing he was Mark Steven Johnson, writer and director of the Sony/Columbia "Ghost Rider" film.

He and Harris have become online friends, and last year, Harris received a package in the mail from Johnson containing some posters used as props in the movie, as well as a crew hat, vest and T-Shirt.

If that weren't exciting enough, last month Harris got an e-mail from Johnson, asking what he was doing on Feb 15.

"I said, 'I'll probably be having a near heart attack because the movie is being released the next day,'", Harris said. "He wrote back and said, 'Well, a near heart attack isn't good enough. We're going to fly you to New York for the premiere, put you up for the night, you walk the red carpet and you fly out the next day. How's that sound?'

"I wrote back and said 'Do I still get to watch the movie?"

Sony/Columbia is flying Harris and two other original members of the Ghost Rider chatroom to New York as Johnson's special guests. After attending the movie premiere, they will get a chance to meet the stars at an after-party.

"I get to go to the filmmaker party after and do a little schmoozing, and see if I can get in the sequel," Harris said with a laugh.

"It will be cool to meet Nicolas Cage, but it will be funny. What if he says "So what do you do Steve?'. How do you tell Nicolas Cage you're an actor?"

Harris said he's actually more excited about meeting Johnson than Cage, who plays the main character in the film, or the other actors.

"He seems like such a down-to-earth guy. I just want to shake his hand and say thanks for being so dedicated and bringing us the movie. He's always said he's making this movie for the fans," he explained.

Although he'd like a little time to sightsee around New York - having never been to the States before - Harris will be flown back home Friday, the day after the premiere.

He's already got big plans for that night, too - he's going to see "Ghost Rider" at Studio 12 in the Avalon Mall.

"I've been waiting 16 years for this movie," he said with a chuckle. "I've got to support it by giving it 10 bucks at least."

I thought it was a great article. Didn't expect front page and it to be so long though. Crazy.

CHURCHILL FALLS! My Dad was from the Rock Brother ... you can guess his last name!

Now you have to do something big for me FH ... will there be a midnight screening on the 15th ?? Can you find out from MSJ somehow? This is killing me and I can't wait until the 16th brother! :ghost:

I will watch the CBC for the interview ... :ghost:
