SMLVR28 is awesome.
JC: No, no one asked me anything. Universal owns the movie and I was just a hired gun on that film. And its odd to hear you say its gospel because that movie was hated when it came out, mainly by the fans. It was amazing. So its surprising for me to hear you say that people have any kind of care for it because it sure wasnt cared for when it first came out.
Nice!Pretty damn cool if you ask me.

Someone mentioned that the blonde figurine might be Kim Bubbs (Juliette)'s character.

brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "talk to the hand!"
Yeah. Someone said the score is called "Shape"I like those designs alot. And the music was cool. Was that to the Carptentor film? Very eerie. Using that music would be a great way to open the film. Just think of a sweeping opening shot over the snowy landscape with that music in the background.
So when is the trailer coming out for this thing?
The first thing I saw as we approached was that they were filming a massive helicopter without the blades on top. They told us the almost life-size chopper was brought in on a crane.
Next to the chopper was a dead body for practical special effects work. The body’s head appeared to be lifelike (it was freaky) and the bottom had about 20 wires coming out of it and they were attached to four controller decks so people could animated the body for the scene. I don’t know what happens in the film to this body, I just know it’s going to look awesome when they pretend to kill whoever this was.
Also, something I thought was awesome was director Matthijs van Heijningen telling us he was shooting The Thing with anamorphic widescreen lenses and trying to shoot as much practically as possible. Of course CGI is going to be used (as it should be to amplify the scenes), but it is always great to hear the word “practical” on any movie set
