Agreed. I saw Carpenter's version over the weekend & it only made me want to see the prequel trailer even more. I really hope it finally debuts now in March.

It was supposed to come out this April, but got pushed back due to reshoots and Fast Five took it's place instead. So now, it'll be coming out in October.

Supposedly it's attached to tomorrow's release of Paul but there's been no confirmation on that. I hope it's true though. Would be nice.

I never said that was legit news. Only posted what I had read. I have no idea when the trailer is coming out.

I only saw "The Thing" for the first time last weekend and I loved it, I heard this one will be dealing with the Norwegian crew but I don't know how official any of that is. I'm interested in seeing more but I hope they still keep it mysterious and don't just throw away the mystery or its secrets for a cheap movie just to make a quick buck on something that has such a following.

Yeah, it's taking place before Carpenter's The Thing and focused on the Norwegian crew when they discovered the alien, so you will know what happens in the Norwegian camp. I just wish it was called something besides The Thing too, but here's hoping it will work as a companion piece to Carpenter's film.

It'd be good if they could give it a subtitle to distinquish it from the 1982 movie. Maybe The Thing: Origin would be a good one.
