I just don't like the way spider-man is always looking up to other heroes. Spider-Man has as much experience being a hero as Iron-Man and Capt America, even moreso if you ask me. He doesn't need to look up any other hero, maybe he can ask for advise once in a while, but he doesn't ****in need stark or rodgers talking to him like he's a child.
they might as well just change the name of amazing to ultimate, because he fights like a child, talks like a child and behaves like a child, even looks like a child sometimes thanks to romita jr. it's sickening watching myself mature as a reader and having peter getting more immature as a hero and a person.
maybe after they kill off his loving young wife, because lord knows peter hasn't been through enough pain in his life, and keep his old as hell aunt alive, they can bring back uncle ben, and both of them can change his diapers, when captain america whoops his ass again.
Exactly.
It really astounds me the lengths to which they are going to lessen Spider-man.
Everytime he looks up to a "real" hero it makes him less than a real hero.
They treat SM as if he is a a kid who just started out. A rookie and a clown who is annoying to be around.
From Falcon asking "what are YOU even doing here?", to Cap telling him "we don't all hate you we just think you're annoying" (or something like that) in previous books to the hero worship crap they are now doing,....it's driving me insane.
What ticks me off the most is that they seem to be doing this on purpose.
He is the ONLY character made to look and act like a clown.
Everyone else has weight and worth.
Everyone else is taken seriously. From Torch (who's the same age as Peter, and just as much a prankster), to Falcon, Luke cage, and Punisher, who were all rookies compared to Spider-man when they started out.
They all are treated as serious adults while Peter is treated as little more than a silly, annoying, and worthless kid.
the dialogue between cap and Torch is one that is between two adults. The dialogue bet/ Cap and SM is father to son or man to kid. a pretty dumb kid at that. "can I carry your lunch for like the rest of my life", are you serious?
why would a writer portray HIS character is such a subservient light?
I thought heroes were supposed to look their best in their own books.
It makes no sense. And I conclude that someone in Marvel is out to ruin SM. this can't be happening by accident.
