Primetime Emmy Awards 2009

I don't think anyone could have predicted the winners tonight.

*sigh* Just another reminder that this has been such a ****** year with all the great talent we've lost.

Figures they'd get Sara McLaughlin to do the In Memoriam. She's been the go to singer for depressing sad stuff for years now.

This still so pisses me off that True Blood isn't nominated ANYWHERE in these drama categories! :(

Glenn Close takes it for Damages. She earned that one.

Newhart is always a class act.

So great to see Michael emerson win for Lost.As one of the 2 best actors on
one of my must see TV shows was great.

Also enjoyed seeing Cherry Jones win for 24.Remember Dennis haysbert was
never even nominated for 24 when he was on It.

They sure didn't just do what people were expecting.EW was wrong on
several catergizes.

I actually wouldn't mind Cranston getting the Sinestro role.

Omg how shocking mad men won!!!! :whatever:

That show seriously has to be the most boring show I've ever watched, I really do not get the hype.

Chenoweth, Emerson & Mad Men won, so I'm pretty darn happy too. 30 Rock's gotten a bit uneven lately, but there's still plenty of genius in there so I'm satisfied with it still taking everything...for now.

But boo for no BSG love. I mean, I expected it, but it kind of annoyed me that they used Bear McCreary's awesome BSG score for their little "Dramas" montage yet never saw fit to actually recognize it with so much as a nomination. One of the best scores ever put on tv, and...nothing. Ugh.

again Cable proves that it has much better content than network TV....Cable shows took 2 of the big 3 drama awards

Did Tina Fey take a stab at Leno in the acceptance speech?

Something along the lines of " I know it costs a lot of money etc etc."

yea she did..."...even though we cost much more money than a talk show"

NBC has become a bit of a joke now for essentially giving up 5 hours of primetime because they're too scared to do anything else

Jon Cryer won something?

Michael Emerson won :woot: Hugh Laurie, NPH, Jim Parsons lost
