Since the PS3 doesn't come equipped with a time machine that allows it to launch alongside the 360, it's launch price in comparison to the PS3's is actually irrelevant, the only thing that matters is the current price. People should try to remember that most of the world isn't keeping a fanboy tally of things to bring up to win their internet arguments. As for the thread title....could it be any worse? PS3 price cut.....but only for Japan according to the Washington post, a more reliable source than "over eager games nerd on the internet", which brings the grand total of times Sony has one up'd MS so far to.....zero, which sort of invalidates the "again" portion of the title. This thread fails in 5 different ways.Avalanche said:The 360 at launch, or the 360 now?

Mr. Credible said:if the price does drop in america (which i agree is doubtful, but still) then that's most, if not all of the complaints about the ps3 gone right there.
Mentok said:1- The lack of central service for the Online Network
2- Microtransactions, subscriptions and fees on almost everything that is called 'Content' on the Online service... Jesus there is even reports from TGS that SONY will be charging for game demos.
3- BR-DVD That I dont want.
4- No rumble function in the controlller.
5- They stuck with an outdated controller design.
6- Serious lack of games that look even half interesting.
7- Price is still to high even if the drop comes.
Nope... All my complaints about the PS3 are still there.
Mr. Credible said:3. you don't want blue ray, that's fine... but if they drop the price of the system, it hardly matters, since you're only paying $100 (what's that like, the price of 5 dvd's? 2 video games?) for a damn next gen dvd player. quit whining about it.
4. as far as i know, that's not confirmed, and i've heard rumors that they'll offer both versions of the controller. so, again, wait on it. plus, you don't need to pay extra to recharge your ps3 controller, it comes standard... that's a nice feature.
5. an outdated contoller design... that no one has had any complaints about.
6. as did the 360 upon launch. it had 2, maybe 3 games worth buying. it's getting tons of great games now, as will the ps3.
7. $500 for a next gen console and next gen dvd player is hardly 'to' high a price.

Thier outdated controller design, by hands on reports, works much better then the PS2 pad, and a lot better then the PS2 pad for FPS games.
Serious lack of games, I'd disagree.
It's all personal opinion anyway.

Zenien said:The ******ed D-pad you speak of is the best out of any of the controllers, this gen and next. The 360 D-Pad is a nightmare in comparison. I can't really find a fault in the PS2/3 D-Pad, what problems with it do you have specifically?
Zenien said:I can never hit the direction I mean to with the 360 pad since it feels like some bastard child analogue stick pretending to be a D-pad, it always veers off course of the intended direction with the act of pressing it down.![]()
