Pull Your Pants Up!!!!!!!

While I don't really like it when some of my fellow blackies were pants like that, I must say that this is wrong. If there is a law against baggy pants, there better be a law against somebody wearing a shirt with sexual innuendo on it, punk ass dudes wearing girl pants and eye liner, or goths that look like their from Hell.
looks like somebody wants to get shot... on sight :cmad:

To be fair to the goths, most end up killing themselves anyway. So they solve the problem for us.

ugh... it's not a law against "baggy pants"... did you actually read the article? thats just the name given to the bill.

it's a law against wearing your clothing in such a way that it shows off your underwear. big difference.

what difference does it make? do you want government to legislate what kind of clothes you wear or how you wear them? do you think one is ok and not the other? do you think one law may lead to the other?

Good to know Big Brother is on the job. :whatever:

I know exactly what it means.
I read the article.

However, I do feel that if there is a law against that, we need laws against the other stuff that I mentioned, too. Well, we got girls wearing booty shorts all the time, wearing dresses with no underwear/thong, etc. The point is that I never saw the huge deal with the style of clothing for a bill to be made about it. Every generation, we have rebellious youngsters who wear things that are different from the norm. Imagine back when your mother was young. If you wore the same tight ass pants that girls wear today, your grandparents would've had a fit. Less than 10 years from now, the style will change, and nobody will be wearing their pants off their ass, anymore.

It just seems like they are Judge Dredding it at this point.

:o

I honestly can't believe that the "pants fallin' down" look is still popular.

It's been at least ten or fifteen years since the fad caught on -- Isn't it time to let it die and move on to something else?

hooray for big, nanny government!

Sarcasm wins the day.

Too bad the jackasses who came up with this one don't put as much time and energy into addressing homelessness, health care issues, education problems or helping underprivileged children.

maybe if average citizens would quit disguising themselves as homeless people w/o a belt, the govt. wouldn't get so confused in it's old age, and address the necessary topics. :o

my response to addressing homelessness (whatever that means), health care, and underprivileged children would be the same, "hooray for big, nanny government!"

as for education problems, the only problem with education is that it is run by one of the largest unions who only care about preserving jobs and not education. the government is not (and never has been) interested in education; they are interested in indoctrination. i suggest people study up on the Rockefeller Education board, a group that funded the creation of many of the early government schools:

"In our dreams ... people yield themselves with perfect docility to our molding hands. The present educational conventions (intellectual and character education) fade from our minds, and unhampered by tradition we work our own good will upon a grateful and responsive folk."

As much as I'm not a fan of baggy pants...

F**k the Government.
Lee, I like your avy

Lols like those matter.....

I kind of agree with this. Considering sagging your pants is a gang thing (at least it was when I was young). Plus it is just innapropriate.

posts, 27 until 38, shot on sight

I'm not a fan of the baggy boxer showing style either. But I agree that having a "baggy pants bill" is way too much. And a waste of paper in my opinion.
Yeah, there has to be a certain amount of freedom of expression in the world, I guess. While I am not a fan of the style, I don't think it deserves to be legislated unless, yeah, your actual ass is hanging out. Don't need to see that.

I totally agree. It's kinda like a cop writing out a speeding ticket for a mere five miles over while a guy sells drugs right behind him....

well after all, you are in favor of a dictatorship...

Ok, so just because I am not in favor of saggy pants I am a dictator? Come on now. This is one of those little things I am talking about that can be controlled with out it taking away anything important. If Mr. Saggypants wants to walk around his house like that. Fine, but I just don't see the reasoning behind doing that in public.

I mean have you seen just how low some of these people go! Seriously!

no, you're in favor of dictatorship since you came out as saying so yesterday. and hell, you just admit it again here. "these are those little things...that can be controlled without taking away anything important."

yeah, anything important like individual liberty. look, if you don't want to do it in public, then don't.

low enough to get shot on sight

He thinks the waistline location might even improve their behavior.

"Hopefully, if we pull up their pants," he said, "we can lift their minds while we're at it."

JESUS! Its just pants. I don't want to see a person waddeling through the mall, because he thinks it is cool to walk around with his waste line around his knees, & trust me, I have seen pants that low. It is just stupid.
