Punisher 2 to be scripted by Stuart Beattie (collateral)?

I really don't like Paul Walker but that film was bad ass so if he can make Paul Walker look good imagine what he could do with Tom Jane and The Punisher. Wasn't Running Scared his first film too???

I've been saying this for a while, I even made a thread over it. I think his visual style and storytelling is in perfect tone for what The Punisher needs, It would be awesome and outstanding news if he took over the project with Stuart Beattie writing it.

Running Scared was not Wayne Kramer's first film. I think it was his first action film though. The thing is Wayne Kramer directs movies for screenplays that he writes, so I'm not sure if he'd do Punisher 2 but he is definetly still my first choice for who I want to see do this bad boy.

Before Running Scare he wrote and directed The Cooler. A movie I liked a lot.

This is really good news, both POTC movies so far have been awesome and Collateral was an excellent movie, with some great character moments which is what i like. Hope we hear more news soon though.

By far the best news we've had on the sequel. Jane's words about what he had in mind for Punisher 2 was awesome. I like the idea alot. Beattie as writer is great. I saw all the movies he's written and Collateral was one movie that was very badass. Can't wait to see what he'll have in store for the sequel, and for the news to come.

I don't mind it taking a while if it's great - I hope LGF loses the rights and it reverts back to Marvel under their deal with Paramount... give the film at least what they gave Elektra...
