Wishful Thinking & What Could have been as YOU would've wanted it to be

Just wondering...
if YOU could go back & change the Hensleigh Punisher or couldve had complete control of the franchise, how would you have done it?
...and what would be YOUR plans for the upcoming & future Punisher movies?









me...

because i loved the Hensleigh Punisher (somehow it reminded me of the mid-90's semi-B-movie action movies), i wouldve only made a few tweaks

-The mob boss' name would not be Howard Saint
-the mob boss would be played by another actor
-Apart from Quentin (the closet-gay right-hand man of Howard Saint) and aside from the (Saint's) son, and the other goons present when Castle's family were massacred, there would be ANOTHER character, Billy Russo, who was one of those who prevented Castle from saving his family and was the one who was able to "kill" him
-So Castle extracts his vengeance upon the mob, the son of the mob boss, and the mob boss himself (loved that Sergio Leone homage at the last part of the movie)... but Billy Russo was sliced up pretty good by Castle... of course, audience is sure he's dead

SEQUEL COMES

Billy Russo emerges as JIGSAW
& announces to another person
"Oh I know him (Castle), we've met before. We're pretty CLOSE, you know"
& gives a nasty grin

I would have had Garth Ennis write the script, told the story first and introduced the origin at the last part of the film. I wouldnt have used a cop angle, I wouldn't have hired Travolta, and I would use the Vietnam backstory/Forrest Hunt execution tale.
