look, the normal and max versions of the Punisher failed, especially the Max version. If this is presented in a full trailer as a big budget, summer blockbuster action/SciFi flick, it could work, by attracting people who don't know who the Punisher is or people who are not into comic books. Who's gonna know that it's from a failed comic book series? The movie doesn't have to be as bad as the comic, just based on it. Look how good the Punisher Max series is, in the comics and look how bad the Punisher war zone movie came out.

The casual audience is quite aware of The Punisher as an icon due to his featuring in the Spider-Man morning series. The films have tanked not because of the source material, but because the studios have put zero effort into them.

the 2099 series was reviled in all its forms - what's the point? Spend the money on a bigger budget Punisher with a decent cast and a good story - that's more likely to make them money.

Get John Woo to remake HArd-Boiled but just swap Tequila for Frnk aCastle and there you go, The definitive Punisher Movie tm.

Just seen the flick last night in Paisley up in Scotland (Freeeedoooommm) and I have to report that the movie was pretty great. It is right up there with Rambo for the sheer amount of Murder Death Kills.

Stevensons' Castle totally blew Janes' right out of the water. The film was 10 x better than most other ****e like Benjamin Button or Australia. My favourite kill was the chair leg in the eye socket move.

Get John Woo for the next flick, keep Stevenson....fire the cinematogropher(this dude has a real hard-on for neon)

Everything about The Punisher (The Character) was great. Kudos to big Ray.
