punisher or batman?

The Punisher would take him out at a 1000 yards with a sniper rifle if he wanted, but the Punisher doesn't kill heroes.

I guess that's why he was initially hired to kill Spider-Man and why he scuffles with Daredevil constantly.

all depends on the circumstances...

When he was hired to kill Spider-Man he was under the impression that Spidey was a costumed villain. And in the end teamed up with Spider-Man to take on Jackal. And scuffling with Daredevil is different than killing a hero.
In a hand to hand fight Batman would beat the crap out of the Punisher, but I think the Punisher is a little more ruthless and more cunning than Batman and would take him out in a very

I dunno.....Frank seems to be conscious enough to know that heroes aren't the enemy, atleast I took that from how he fought Daredevil in HC Vol. 1.

Although....Batman is like a god in the DCU.....the guy is the superhero equivalent of McGuyver.

I guess, close range would put Frank at a MAJOR disadvantage.........and since he probably wouldn't try and kill Bats......I dunno. That'd be one tough ass fight to choreograph, that's for sure.

DUDE...punisher with prep time man! rofl...i think batman would take him...but the real question is....why would the get in a fight in the first place

I don't think Punisher would kill batman, maybe tie him up and leave him for Gordon to untie.

I think it would have to depend on whether you were talking about comic Frank vs. comic Batman, or movie Frank (Jane) vs. movie Batman (Bale). I think in a hand to hand fight, in the comics, Batman would wipe the floor with Frank. But if it were a fight with the movie characters, I can't really see Batman winning, just because in the movie, they made Frank an ex-FBI agent and Navy SEAL. From what I've read, SEALs are the best hand to hand combatants in the world. Their training is second to none. And when they are face to face with a known enemy, they neutralize first and ask questions later.

Yes...but Batman is a ninja......ya can't kill what ya can't see!

hand to hand, Batman no doubt about it...he's trained in like, what...50 different martial arts styles, and has mastered them all? I dont care if Frank was a marine, there's no way to compete with that...but if Frank really wanted to take him out, he could, from a distance, or with some sort of explosive device...if a kid can steal the hubcaps off the batmobile, frank could put a bomb in it :o

Frank wouldn't kill him, but he would just pluck him with a .50 sniper rifle.

That would be one hell of a fight. This is how I see it going.
A. If they knew about the conflict earlier, both would be prepared. And when both are prepared, both can be very...very deadly.
Stats
Batman: Has beaten Superman, largely through preparation and guile. He has a hugely superior tactical mind and would plan ahead.
The Punisher: Is an expert in grudge fighting and as seen in the movie, always plans his assasinations thoughraly.

In the process, The Punisher would probably find out who Batman is, but being the moral man he is, wouldn't use it against him. They would meet on an open field of combat. Punisher would bring guns, most of which would be immediatly disarmed by Batman. Batman being a trained ninja would attempt to confuse and disorient Punisher. It may or may not work. If it came to a grudge match I really think neither would win. They are so equally matched it would be...crazy.
I think in the end Punisher would decide that fighting Batman was A) not getting rid of a bad guy and B) very tiresome.

In all complete honesty, Batman. Really there is know competition. Batman has faced other hired guns and assasins (see Deadshot, Triggertwins, Lady Shiva, Echo, KG Beast, and BANE) and has beatin them. Not to mention, most of these threats are considered minimal to Batman. Batman knows hundreds of ways to disarm a villain from varrying distances, and is a master in hand to hand combat, moreso than Castle ever could hope to be.

BATMAN, hands down.

He may know all that, but that doesn't matter to Castle. Castle has gone up against opponents bigger than himself and won. Also Castles cunning would give him an edge. Plus anyone ever heard of nightvision? Batman uses the dark to hide from his opponents. Night vision and Castle. Ouch. Add in the frag and flash grenades and lethal. I'm going with Castle on this one.

I usually give Batman the advance in most cases, but I think he's defintely got his hands full with the Punisher. Both would be in for one big stand.

I say Batman. I like his style much more than punisher's.

**** that, both Batman and Punisher could beat the **** out of Supes.
