No one wears those anymore...unless you are from the 70s. If the movie is set in the 70s then fine but I dont really want to see purple...jeans.
Just give him the purple trousers...its part of him, at least once in the movie. I liked the way he got the purple trousers in the first one...make it a short and easy way.
But i dont mind seeing jeans either..and I also think for the first transformation if he was naked, that be pretty funny...I guess

yesterday i've seen a guy in scooter with purple trousers and of course it reminded me of the hulk. ..i really wanted to get close to him with my car and tell him "not even the incredible hulk wears purple trousers nowdays you know"... but i gave up.

Some things to consider.
1. A real live person on screen cannot wear the same clothes or same style of clothes every time you see them.
2. Would he wear the same pair of pants every day or would it be a new pair of purple pants every day?
3. When, since 1979, has it been cool to wear bright purple pants out in public?
Think about the different outfits you wear every day. If you were to hulk out on Tuesday of this past week, what color pants would you have been wearing?
Oh and yes, one glimpse of Hulk-dong, and I'm outta that theater quicker than a virgin out of a prom dress.
That's a Marvel mystery I never wanted to know the answer to.

take it you dont have a good tv? On the HD-DVD, those shorts are beat up to hell and back. Even when he changes back to Banner they are a bit tattered. Not Shredded, but not all that clean as you make them out to be.

And besides, those shorts were more traditional to the canon Hulk comics than him being Mighty Joe Young size.
