As edgy and explosive as Nicolas Winding Refn’s 1996 cult classic, this English language remake tells the story of a week in the life of FRANK, a big time drug pusher in London. Frank’s life is a fun-filled rollercoaster of a ride that soon spins out of control. Friendships start to vanish, there is no longer room for love within his life, and violence takes over. Danger and chaos are all around and he becomes a man trapped in his own world. Eventually Frank is left with no one to turn to and nowhere to go, becoming a man paralysed with the fear of knowing there is no way of preventing his inevitable fate. Fast-paced, visually striking, witty and with some of acting’s finest talents, Pusher will have you gripped from beginning to end.

I'm not exactly thrilled by this remake and I highly doubt it will match up with the original. However, with Refn involved on the movie, I'm a bit interested to see it. Furthermore, I think it's great that Zlatko Burić is, in a way, reprising the same character as in the Pusher films.

I like the Pusher films however the first one was alright but there's room for improvements so I'm curious to see any new aspects that's added to the story. I like that it's set in London, It'd be good if the tone of the movie is a blending between a Refn and a Guy Ritchie movie.

It's good that the actor that played Frank is reprising his role. His performance in the series makes him a standout character.

Interesting to note that the remake retains the red look of the original film.

I'm okay with it just because it will make more people look up the original.

I agree. If this remake succeeds in getting more people watching the original film, then I'm glad that this remake even exists.

There's a Hindi remake too.

Yes, I'm aware of that. I heard it's horrible, not even curious to see it.

Hell, I didn't even know this was coming out.

Like you Sgt. pepper, I'm only interested in it because of Refn's involvement.

Electronic Duo Orbital To Score Pusher

Speaking about the soundtrack, Orbital's Paul Hartnoll said that:
"Working on 'Pusher' was a great opportunity to create a score that draws on both moody thriller styles and dance music in equal measures. Full of anthemic film noir moments."

I'm skeptical towards this, despite both Refns and Buric involvment.

Trailer

Well, we can get it out of the way that they aren't butchering it. It seems to be in vain with the original but yet different, if it's even half as good as the original I'd say it's an accomplishment, and it's good thing that they kept Burić for Milo, he's just perfect for the role.

Looks really atmospheric!

Loving the trailer for this.

Ehh, the trailer didn't win me over. Although, I like that Burić is reprising his role from the original film.

Wow looks really cool I haven seen the orginal but will get around to I might see this first though.

eh, i'm not very impressed with the trailer. didn't get any feeling for it all. it should be worth seeing just to see zlatko as milo again though.

The soundtrack for this film is going to be great.

I thought it said Punisher Remake. :P

From a visual standpoint it looks better the original but thats not hard seeing as Pusher was made by Refn on the cheap with handheld cameras to get a gritty realistic tone. Seems like Luis Prieto is going for a glossy look more like Refn's Drive which isn't a bad thing I think.
