I'm wondering how many of you have discovered something that absolutely irritates somebody or even multiple people and can't resist doing it just because you know it irks them. Even if it requires a lot of effort (or conversely, no effort) on your part. What is that thing, and have they figured out that you do it on purpose only to bug them, or do they not realize it?

are there people in existence that DON'T push buttons assuming they know which ones they are??

Sure there are. Part of it is a matter of context. For instance, I know what bugs the hell out of my wife (and she me), but we don't continually push those buttons because we love and respect each other and want and need to get along in life. But everyone has either friends that we do these sorts of things with as good natured fun, or people that we dislike or don't respect a whole lot and therefore take a lot of joy in doing something that we know drives them nuts and pretending we're oblivious to that.

I know plenty of girls that "hate" to be made fun of on a daily basis (criticisms on their clothing style, choice of foods, use of sentences, etc.), but I do it anyway because they're attention ****es.

Not often, only if someone pisses me off.

*I thought of making this thread also.

Yoiu think of making a lot ot threads, Huh?:)

One of my old friends in highschool used to hate it when he was telling me a story, and instead of looking him in the eye I would just stare straight at his forehead. Stupid? Yes. But it was also fun to piss him off.

Actually no. If I discover that something irritates or annoyes a particular individual, I make it a point not to do it.

Same, but sometimes people just piss me off enough to wanting to piss them off.

There is a girl in my biology class who hates the word 'moist' so I try and get it into everything I say when we're in biology. She's also phobic, to the point of having screaming fits, about cotton wool. Guess what always gets into her desk, or into her coat pockets, or her bag on a regular basis.

My fiance gets completely annoyed with me if I poke him constantly for no reason. I do it often.

I'm a button pusher because I can be extremely petty and because sometimes it's fun. :)

My wife hates it if I stare at her for no reason. I do it a lot. Mostly, because I'm spacing out in the direction of her ass.

Oh snap! Quandry.
Sorry we won't be hearing from Tobiaswins ever again, everybody. :csad:
But he's just that selfless and virtuous, he cares about how extremely annoyed I am, just that he even registered here.

Do they push your buttons, or do you like to push theirs?

I have a very good friend who HATES the word "dude". So much so that I started using it around her all the time even though it's never been a huge part of my lexicon, just because it drove her absolutely nuts. In fact, I did it so much that she now uses the word "dude" all the time as part of HER normal lexicon. Every time she says it I remind her how much she hates that word and she gets mad and blames one of our other friends (who rarely uses the word) for getting it stuck in her head. Hehehe! :ninja:
