Man, it's not worth it. If you want it in here, C&P. It would absolutely make sense to keep it in here for posterity. But frankly, official updates are so scarce that making a 400th reply to a year old thread simply doesn't cut it. And there's a reason all the "official" threads aren't the only game in this group, much less sticky'd.
That said, I also want to know what happened to the Set Pics thread.
A year from now, I remember Jon mentioned on MySpace which AFB they filmed at, I want to scroll through well-stated thread titles rather than trudge through 17 pages of dense text to that confirmation. Fortunately, you already posted that answer in it's own thread rather than putting it into an "Official Filming Locations" one.
The all-knowing, (said with love and a hint of frustration), saw fit to merge the Empire interview and pic I posted Saturday afternoon into the USA Today thread, with no warning or rebuke. And the vBulletin Gods in their Infinite Wisdom bestowed upon us the Report button. The Mods can take care of themselves, even in this foul pit of anarchy we call the Iron Man board.
An olive branch, and for posterity's sake:
Jon Updates MySpace Group
I just got back in town. The company has been on the road for many weeks. We started off in the mountains of Lone Pine which doubled for Afghanistan. We then moved to Edwards Air Force Base. We finally closed out the out of town work with Fontana, CA.
Let me confirm a few things: The movie will contain both the gray suit and the gold and red. The light you see in the photo on Robert's chest in the USA Today article is the chest piece glowing through his shirt. He is in captivity and forging the mask of the Mark 1. Both suits have been built practically by Winston Studios and are busily at work as we speak. We are exploring ideas for teaser trailers, though no date has been decided. We are planning to attend San Diego Comicon. Bridges is bald and plays Stane. The movie is on schedule and could not be going better.
