Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

lol

Just saw the Cannes press QnA with cast and Quentin. A reporter asked QT why Margot doesn't have enough lines, he simply rejects her question and moves on. Lawd. Some folks just want to be offended over any damn thing.

Who the hell keeps a tab on the amount of dialogue a character gets?

The review from Bloomberg basically gives away the ending because he didn’t like the movie.

Didn't see any detail about the ending there. What does it give away?
Basically says he pulls an Inglourious Basterds, which tells me that Sharon Tate probably survives and maybe kills the Manson clan

Read that review, talk about being bitter about Tarantino's affiliation with Weinstein, they'd clearly decided they'd be giving it a negative review before they'd even seen it.

Majority of Hollywood worked with Weinstein though

Guy didn’t have to be a dick just because he didn’t like the movie. Gives reviewers the bad reputation some of them have. Entitled.

That right there is why Most modern day critics should not be taken seriously. Looking for attention or are simply biased as hell.

True. The problem with most of today's critics is they're basically from the Ain't it Cool generation onwards, not serious film critics. They're basically bloggers.

Yup! I'm a fan of all of Tarantino's films so I'm excited for this one.

The reviewer makes it sound like Weinstein was the creative force behind all of QT’s movies.

Also, a bunch of actors were cut from the final print. I hope he ends up releasing a longer version at some point tho.

Yeah that was a dumb question. You may not agree with his creative decision but go down the route of what the interviewer is asking and that’s how you get film by committee.

I don’t always love QT’s choices but he’s one of the last few auteurs that have a unique voice.

The question is really a thinly veiled attempt to make Tarantino look bad, as if he only hired Margot because she's hot. How any reporter can think that was a good question to ask is beyond me.

And if you look at the roles women have played in his other 8 movies, they’ve all had layers to them and aren’t just one note. Which is more depth than most actresses get in other pictures.

That question represent everything what's wrong with todays society. And QT is true one. I dont think you could have answered any better even though he was foaming from inside.

QT handled it like a true champ.
You can feel the "oh, I want in on the #MeToo craziness, this is my moment of glory" giddiness from the reporter. And it backfired. What an idiot. And it's the second person after that other review I'm calling an indiot in this topic. Yeah, many of today's reporters are complete morons. Especially the ones covering entertainment.
