Days of Future Past Question about the ending *spoilers*

I was watching all the trailers from X1- to the wolverine and I saw this shot from the first movie trailer

And I realized that it was in some of the DOFP trailers

Now I know you can't always trust trailers, but this does sorta give away the ending of everything working out?

Were they planning on re-using footage or were they going to go as far back as X1 when Wolverine wakes up (which they sort of do-ish)?

Who knows if that scene was used for a flashback sequence and it didn't make the final cut?

I think it's more of a "these are the same guys" nod in the trailer. Equally it could have been used when McAvoy looks into Wolverine's mind
